I like the way GURPS Banestorm does Goblins a lot.
They can be sneaky, but they are also communal and all mad scientists at heart.

I once made a goblin duelist/swashbuckler that was an absolute blast to play.

They are the default short species of that world, and they are so low-cost that they can be customized to your heart's content, while still being your crazy but loyal friend.

GURPS Illuminati was a fantastic book that I still use the pics as memes to this day. It breaks my heart that we missed the window when conspiracies were fun and not incredibly problematic.

I also really liked GURPS Humanx. I'd love to see this done as a movie, as it adds a unique perspective to a space opera and is fun in its own right. I never understood why it was never made as a tv show, movie or video game.
