Not to speak for anybody else, and I don't know the particulars of this one since I've not really been following that thread, but there are times on this forum when someone will block a group of people at least temporarily so they don't get themselves sucked in to endless arguments.

Again, not saying this is the case here, but just thought I'd point out a potential reasoning to preemptively avoid assuming the worst

Yeah, I'm all good with people choosing to block anyone they want for any reason they want, but it's very unfortunate that the board settings mean it completely derails an entire, ongoing thread. Especially since, in this case, the OP wasn't even all that involved with the discussion.

If the OP of a thread blocks you, do you lose access to the entire thread? The "player skill vs character skill" thread just completely disappeared from my view and I'm trying to figure out why. Thought maybe I was blocked by whoever the OP is.

Must be a pain for mods to manage duplicated similar threads with this being the case.

Yeah, if someone blocks me in a thread where we're arguing and I was pretty sure I didn't cross any lines myself, I usually assume that they're trying to stop themselves from stepping over the line in response. At least, that's ended up being the case the few times I've had a similar thing happen (from both sides)

I have not posted in that thread for pages so not sure. I try to not get heated like I was back in the old 3e days.

The only other threads I have been in recently were Stranger Things, Circus Troupe, Social Media, and the 4e necro one.

I hope overgreeked is ok. I will miss interacting with them.

To multiple people at once? No clue. I doubt.

I did read through it on offline mode and nothing was heated.
