BloodBowl
Normally I would've waited until it came out on Direct2Drive or Steam -- but Blood Bowl is really cool.
The game is very faithful to the rules and plays quite smooth -- has a cool campaign mode with a bunch of options. AI seems reasonably solid so far too -- though I think it plays...
From front page -- Reavers of Harkenwold: Adventure HS1 for 4th Edition D&D
HS1? Does this imply a new campaign setting? I noticed that Forgotten Realms adventures all use the FR# format.
Very nice!
A couple year ago while running a PbP game this is exactly what I wanted.
New feature-wise it'd be nice to be able to scale the map up or down to give bigger maps more screen space and make it easier to match token size to map scale.
Also would be nice to have a fog-of-war function...
Perhaps explaining why I bought Freeport 3e and didn't bother buying Freeport 3.5!
Look, I understand that there's a fair bit of work involved in the update.
But, unlike a print update, you don't have to pay for a bunch of paper and binding in PDF. And re-using art and maps are a big savings...
I'm sure you understand that if we subscribed to the 3.5 version then we've already paid $50 once, and it's hard to justify laying out another full $50 when a fair bit of the content will be stuff we already own.
On a GM's note -- will the 4e version also target levels 1-20, or will it spread...
Back to the OP --
-- thanks for posting your comments here. I'm prepping to DM this scenario and that encounter already annoys me with its "wandering (in fact, one-way teleportaling) damage" feel. I'll pull it and replace with something that makes sense and is reasonable.
