Alternate Magic System (Instead of spells per day.)

I actually made a system almost exactly like this but I scrapped it when I saw that as you advance in level, your powerlevel just becomes ludicrous. Example: under your system, a 17th level wizard would have 164 points, which is enough for 16 9th level spells! For a more moderate example, a...

Does anyone use Dex for attack modifier rather than Strength?

IMC any weapon weighing 5lbs or less can be used with Dex instead of Str to hit. This works out very well, but then I don't throw very many monsters at my players at all and I do use armor as DR rather than AC. They usually fight humanoids with character levels.

[Cyberpunk d20] Deus Ex nano augmentations

shameless bump oh btw, in case you were wondering what I'm talking about when I say Cyberpunk d20, there's a conversion (probably not very legal, but I'm a dumbass in that matter) of Cyberpunk 2020 material to the d20 system floating around the net if you know how to find it.

[Cyberpunk d20] Deus Ex nano augmentations

Hi everyone. I made some rules regarding the use of the nano augmentations in Deus Ex for use in a Cyberpunk D20 game. I've kept true to the game as much as possible, but some allowances had to be made and some augmentations had to be toned down for the sake of the GM! Sources used: Deus Ex...

hi everybody. I desperately want to run a wheel of time game, but none of my friends have read beyond a few pages of the first book of this fantastic world. After nearly 10 months of stewing in agony, I've decided to run it over irc. I invite you all to play. I favor roleplaying over...

    Question: DEF bonus (from WoT)

that would be the perfect situation to use def bonus. but remember the armsman's armor compatability at level 3 or they'll quickly be outclassed. if their AC is ever a problem because of def bonus... that's what ambushes are for. they will keep their def bonus but lose their dex bonus, which...

    New Epic spell : BALEFIRE

yes, the spell as it is in WoT "burns a thread out of the pattern of ages" or something like that. BUT it's like thier version of the nuclear bomb. it is socially unacceptable to use it and it's a crime just to know how to do it because it burns through anyone and all but one substance. when...

What would you use to run a near/far-future campaign?

I ran a Deus Ex d20 using a cyberpunk d20 conversion for cybernetics and my own rules for nanotechnology. It was extremely succesful

    Question: DEF bonus (from WoT)

    1) yes, but only four, the rest have been removed: commoner, diplomat, expert, and warrior. all their def progressions start at 0, and get +1 every three levels starting at 3rd level 2) no, but you can give them levels in classes if you want 3) yes, but it is only really used by soldiers...

    Question: DEF bonus (from WoT)

I'm not sure of the legality of posting def bonuses, so here's a class comparison. Algai'd'siswai - Monk Armsman - Fighter Initiate - Wizard Noble - no real equivalent Wanderer - Rouge Wilder - Sorcerer Woodsman - Ranger and the star wars d20 rpg has def bonuses as well.
