Using the template to create a Were-Crocodile it lists that in Hybrid form lycanthropes gain claw and bite attacks. In the Sandstorm source book the were-crocodile hybrid form does not have a claw attack. Anybody have/know of any errata?
Thanks,

The spell descriptions rarely specify what the verbal component is and there are instances in books and my own campaign that have people casting the same spell but in different languages and ways. I would say that if a verbal component is needed only a certain sound is required.
As has been said by others, I believe a mix would be best. I have used templates to great affect in my games. Some monsters like the Nightshade I just don't see as being a monster that could be templated.
PS~GR Advanced Bestiary is great.
I'll have to go over this with Jim. Give him his options. I've got several kids to entertain over the holiday next week and this is what was decided on. Think I'll negate the SLA Darkness from his Tiefling and add to his DEX Score +2. Balance?
The other kids are still looking at what races...
I'll look into the Swordsage. I am not as familiar with the BO9S as I should be considering it's import on 4E.
Jim, the kid, is hellbent on a tiefling though, so either way a tiefling he will be. (I think he likes the idea of looking evil ;) )
A younger new D&D player had Tieflings explained to him as being like Nightcrawler from the Marvel Universe. Now the kid is really excited and wants to play a 'crawler type character. I am thinking a limited blink ability with a high Dex boost. Anyone see any problems with making this...
I also see traditions possibly giving certain benefits like organizations did in 3.5.
Also, I believe Primitive Screwhead and RigaMortus 2 are on the right track.
And possibly some Blackmoor influence in there?
I voted for Ghostwalk. I used it's ghosts in Eberron with really good results. Manifest zones of Dolurrh were used an insanity ensued.
As for Planescape in 4E, I see Sigil as a domain in the Astral Sea with portals leading everywhere. And possibly Spelljammer's sailing the Astral Sea between...
