    D&D 5E Glyph of Warding

So the best way to get around a Glyph is to dig up a flagstone near where the Glyph is, then use move earth to systematically move the remaining flagstones more than 10' away LOL :P

D&D 5E Assassinate and Greater Invisibility

Okay, do they have an actual mechanic called on guard, or is that something you are making up to help explain

    D&D 5E Wish & Simulacrum

A sorcerer could twin the Wish spell, but yes, if they wanted it on there list, they would have to do something like you suggest.

    D&D 5E Glyph of Warding

Yeah, you get it, this one is posted more for fun, but still kind of serious :P

    D&D 5E Glyph of Warding

Glyph of Warding says, "If the surface or object is moved more than 10 feet from where you cast the spell, the Glyph is broken, and the spell ends without being triggered." So if you cast the spell on a flagstone in the ground, that is a location correct? So you could, in theory, dig up the...

    D&D 5E Wish & Simulacrum

Well, if a spellcaster casts a spell at me I try and counter it, that is no different that this. If someone summoned a monster that I didn't like I would either banish it or dispel it, again no different.

    D&D 5E Wall of Force

I might have to revisit that. I did start before I posted this by listening to that podcast. He doesn't really get into it as much as you think. See, I understand your lingo :) I think it would help if the spell said something to the effect of, "while the wall is invisible, the wall...

    D&D 5E Wall of Force

Okay, I could see that if you didn't engulf the target in a sphere. But even if this would work, accounting for the extra spaces to get "in range" going around the wall, since the Wall of Force is invisible if you didn't know the wall was cast, you would go for a straight line and thus hit the...

D&D 5E Assassinate and Greater Invisibility

So on the surface I agree with many of you on what the rules say, even if I don't agree with them in this scenario. I will contend that if you are literally undetectable that you should be able to assassinate. What are your thoughts on being hidden, forgoing a round of attack action, and then...

D&D 5E Assassinate and Greater Invisibility

Not really, that feature is a class ability. If you went down that road, then why take assassin to begin with?

D&D 5E Assassinate and Greater Invisibility

That's what I am getting at. if you are literally blind to an attack coming, even if you are expecting it, you can't defend against it.

D&D 5E Assassinate and Greater Invisibility

True, but you have to do some work to set it up and the assassin other higher level features are pretty much ass soooooooo

    D&D 5E Wish & Simulacrum

Both sound like the most reasonable solution to me.

    D&D 5E Wish & Simulacrum

I would struggle with the component cost unless it was a static cost, like you must have a 1,000 GP gem that isn't consumed when cast. I say this because it seems every DM that I get is very stingy with resources at low levels, then in mid levels you have some much you can buy everything in the...

    D&D 5E Wish & Simulacrum

Shenanigans aside, the spell by itself it's that bad. Yes, you get extra spells and such. But it does cost a crap ton to cast, normally you can't get the spells back, and it can be dispelled. A clever DM would have every spellcaster attempt to dispel it immediately. I know you can break this...
