What will Masterplan be after the C&D?

Apparently Masterplan has an API to allow the development of extensions. It wouldn't surprise me if someone else wrote one for the next version to continue Compendium support.

What will Masterplan be after the C&D?

One wonders if they had implemented Masterplan to require a current DDI subscription (via logon) each time they wanted to access compendium library files, we would have seen a C&D.

What will Masterplan be after the C&D?

Turns out it *was* a C&D from Wizards. Apparently Masterplan will continue development, but without integration into the Compendium. I find it silly that Wizards is so short sighted that they would move against something that actively promotes subscriptions to D&D Insider.

What will Masterplan be after the C&D?

I was hoping that Masterplan would move closer to something like MapTools, where I could use it for a digital game table (not a player/gm networked one, but one used at an actual in-person game on a touch surface projection table) to track things like line of sight, fog of war, lighting, and...

    Warden vs Carrion Crawler

Hi, I have a question involving progressive saves (where failing the first save applies new effects, etc) such as the one on the carrion crawler. Do alternative saves given to a player allow the progression to happen faster if you're given multiple saves? For example, would failing the Warden...

Ways to increase critical hit range...

Focused Sound, a Bard encounter power allows the target to be crit-able on 18-20 until the end of your next turn. Forgot the level, but it's low (1-4).

Free RPG day Ebberon Black Ooze escape

Well, I imagine that the writer expected that the DM would rule per the grab rules in the PHB; if he decides that a push, pull or slide won't free a character, than this will naturally make the monster that much more difficult.

Quick, nasty combo to kill Orcus etc

Just to step in here, against a stun-locked Orcus, this is easily achievable given an average Epic party of 5 characters. I would also guess that a party with an optimized Orb specialist Wizard is more likely to be more mechanically efficient than the average party.

    [Ranger]Twin strike misunstanding ?

This. The only time you might encounter something in a real fight is when you are under the effect of some kind of specific controller effect, which is pretty situational for an at-will.

    Ongoing damage: questions

I personally just rule that all the effects happen in the same "stack" and you dont' check for character status until all "beginning of the round" effects have resolved. It makes things simpler.

Multiple Saves for the Same Effect

In my campaign: These are all different "effects", which is a grouping of mechanical rules which affect a character (perhaps not the best word, not to be confused with a status effect such as slowed). In your example, which are 3 different "effects" they all are different and would all stack...

Multiple Saves for the Same Effect

Yes: This is generally how I apply saves in my game. Recently in a 1 shot delve, the characters were against a pair of Umber Hulks. If I had stacked their at-will (minor! blast!) daze against them, they would have never, ever gotten out of the daze effect. For my game, I use this system with...

Power-storing (eg: Armor of Exploits) questions

This might sound like a stupid question, but does "storing" the power expend the power? Or does merely having the power on the character count as "storing" it (i.e., can you store an expended power)? I guess it's not clear to me what "store" means, in this example.

    H2 - Thunderspire Labyrinth Question

I like the Theurges. They're the first set of controllers I felt were really 'controllers'. I'm a fan of controllers having more power diversity than other monsters, so they can keep things interesting and give the players a real challenge.
