I use the xp system from AD&D for my own games in 3.5 at the moment. It makes my job easier as GM which is nice as the group reaches high levels. Though, I am likely going to steal Pathfinder's xp system in the immediate future for my game.

In terms of playing '4e' rules, the Ravenloft game replaced the 4e game with my weekly group. My older group that plays every other weekend runs either 3.5/Pathfinder or Savage Worlds. So, it replaced the RPG in my small group.

The Borders near me is not that great for gaming material. So, I try to go through my local game store. Also, I know the Borders manager is not a huge fan of gaming groups hanging out in the social lobby area, too. I suspect the manager is partly at fault for the lack of gaming material, honestly.
