Hmm, let's see...do we want prisoners that we would have to escort back to the city? If not, then do we disarm them and let them go or make sure they aren't able to dig another trap?
I can speak to them in common, elvish or dwarvish - I can threaten them with steel. :-)
If they don't surrender, we could just fill in the hole - it was nice of them to dig their own grave. :]
ooc: Say the last bit out loud in common and see if they respond.
ooc: actually, poor typing skills - was supposed to 12+2=14 :-)
ooc: maybe I will pick up a whip at some point then to use that feat that I am not using...
12+4=14 for Init
If I have the initiative or can get to the rope before they get out of the whole, draw the scimitar and sever the rope to prevent them from climbing out easily.
ooc - just noticed that weapon finesse didn't bump up my attack bonus with the scimitar - should it have?

Quietly to Gabe, "We can try talking and then run while I throw up an Entangle if we need to make a quick exit."
ooc: How many "bad guys" are there?
To Gabe quietly: "Sounds like the only way we are going to know for sure is to ask them. And I am not sure how well that would turn out. Shall we stay or continue on?"
