Alternatively, given Viritoth's (the CR 27 kobold mentioned), he might be willing to negotiate with PCs if they can get him what he wants for his tribe. That said, you can use the "mid level" version of his stat block if CR 27 is too high - his goals are the same at that point, but he's smart...

No - I don't give special treatment to my husband when I DM, and he doesn't give me special treatment when he GMs. :) It works out better that way. Favoritism, whether to a SO or to somebody else, is no way to promote unity in a group.
