    Tired of traditional Fantasy Campaigns?

Why has no one mentioned Earthdawn?! My personal favorite fantasy RPG (Non-d20), and I am a proud owner of a complete 1st Ed. collection. It has a great system, a very creative, atmospheric and well supported world. It is superbly illustrated, and IMHO it is the best fantasy RPG of the 90's...

So how's life treating all of you?

My life is GREAT. I got accepted to my dream school (Danish School of Journalism (a very good school btw)), after getting good grades at my BA exams. I moved to a new town, and have started a new D&D game, set in FR, which I have never DM'ed in. Very challenging! Moved into a...well its kinda...

Worst book WotC made for 3.0?

I like the BoVD. I think it has loads of crunchy bits that spices up a game. I agree with the vote of DDG. I have no use for these gods. I mean if you don't run a Greayhawk or earthbased campaign, you pay 25$ for 20-25 pages...

what is your preferred period for d+d games?

I voted Frontier/Discovery, but I also love the Post-apocalyptic. Which is probably why Earthdawn is my favorite game of all times!!

Do you have the stereotypical DnD "body type".

184 cm, I guess about 6-6'1 and 85 kg. which is 185 pounds. Recently discovered after 24 years, that I actually have to exercise in order not to get a belly. Very surprising...or perhaps I should cut down on the beer. Oh yeah. Real MEN have hairy backs. ;)

If you campaign had introductory text a la Star Wars..

This was my introduction for my last campaign: Welcome the Islands of the Far Sea, a vast ocean with thousands of islands holding many secrets and lost treasures for those bold enough to claim them. The area called the Far Seas is enormous, and even experience sailors know that anything might...

(Way OT) How bad is the heat wave in Europe?

Then I appologize, and will not dignify any further comments on the matter with a reply :)

(Way OT) How bad is the heat wave in Europe?

On the other hand, Zogg, they are all humans, and the majority will have familiy and loved ones, who will miss them and regret their passing. 3000 people died 9/11, is their death also just population control? Is your life worth less because you are old? I don't want to hijack this thread, I...

(Way OT) How bad is the heat wave in Europe?

I've just read that they estimate that about 3000 died in france, directly or indirectly from the heat. I wonder how many died in all of Europe??

    CR 12 lvl 10 wizard/ vampire?

Probably a lightningbolt, since chainlightning is level 6, and call lightning is a 3rd level druid spell. Or he might have used a scroll...

    CR 12 lvl 10 wizard/ vampire?

Only 100 hp?!?! Thats just about 40 points above average!!! Well, anyways, I'm not that fond of helping a party meta-game, so i'll just stop right now. Anyway, it seems like your DM might have altered the vampire a bit to suit his needs, which is just great! Good luck and Happy Gaming! P.S...

    CR 12 lvl 10 wizard/ vampire?

It might just be me, but the BBEG seems a bit overpowered compared to your group. I mean he is EL 12, 6 CR over your group. You should be dead!! Your party has less than 5% chance of surviving such an encounter. Your equipment is decent, and fits nicely with your level and composition IMO. But...

(Way OT) How bad is the heat wave in Europe?

Well, as far as I know, global warming will lead to local cooling. Since the gulf-current might be diverted, if the ice continues to melt at the north pole. If the gulf-current suddenly end off the coast of spain, we would have a BIG problem. Furthermore, the melting of ice might lead to...

D&D: You never forget your first..

Its so great to be among fellow gamers, who understand the feeling of discovering roleplaying!!! I saw a small feature on roleplaying on the news, when I was about 8 or 9 (in 86-87 or so). I immediatley went to my LEGO and built a dungeon, but it wasn't really satisfying, especially since I...
