Is it (all are for melee attacks without reach/unarmed attacks):
1) When a successful attack is made
2) When an attack would have hit the warded character's touch AC
3) Every attack, successful or not
From the SRD:
"This spell wreathes the character in flame and causes damage to each creature...
I would like to point out a tactic that I use with Persistant spell to avoid tieing up slots each day. Cast the persistant spells 8.1 hours before you get new spells. Then when you get new spells leave the slots open. That way you have the option of filling them with other spells during the day...
Re: Sorry, no can do
I just wanted to clarify what is actually stated in TaB. It says that to use Persistent Spell the range must be personal or fixed. It does not specifically state that touch is not allowed.
I take fixed to mean that the range does not change with level.
I would argue...
Oh come on now. There is at least an arguement for both sides. It's not such a given. :)
After somemore thought though I think I'll let them make raging sneak attacks.
It still seems conceptually wonky though.
I just found out about the convention from your post and might try to go :)
I've never been to a convention before so I'm pretty curious. Has anyone been to this one before? Roughly how large is it usually?
I DM a game with a wizard5/elemental savant5 who always stays in a polymorphed form (pixie). I am trying to figure out which abilities he loses while polymorphed.
Most of the Elemental Savant abilities are labeled (Ex) so he gets to keep those. The one I'm not sure about is Elemental...
The universe is believed to be finite but that's another matter.
If we're talking about an infinite space for something to get lost in then there is really no argument about it's ablility to be lost forever. The chance of finding an object in an infinite space in infinite time would be on the...
Although that seems to be the case that is simply not true. Just because something can happen does not mean that it eventually will. If we on earth take a rocket and shoot it off into space it is by no means certain that after infinite time it will be found. It is possible that humans will never...
A wizard in my game has a toad familiar that he keeps in a familiar carrier from TaB. What kind of effects would you force the familiar to suffer?
Physical attack on the carrier are spelled out in the rules.
I am mostly wondering about spell effects.
I wouldn't think something like a fireball...
...or can it be cast on other people?
If it can't do you know of a spell that can be cast on another creature (in this case an undead creature) to allow it to see invisible.
I don't want the Imp.Invis. party to wipe out all my nice undead now do I ;)
thanks
I know what you mean. I used to come up with countless character ideas that I wanted to play but never got to use them.
So what did I do?
I started DMing. Now I can make all the characters I want :)
