I have windows 7 on my desktop and I use its (dated) version of IE. Works like a charm to this day, but can confirm no other browser works.
Just checked IE on my Win10 laptop. This is probably the first time I've ever used IE on this thing, and can confirm that the character builder works 100%.
My only gripe with D&D Beyond at this stage is that I can't increase the listings per page. I really don't like having to load webpages while searching.
But yeah, that's my only gripe. Product seems good so far.
I used to switch to Firefox for the character builder as well, but the Silverlight plugin has recently failed me. Opening the CB tells me I need to install the plugin, but the installer tells me the plugin is already installed. I now use Internet Explorer, which is less than ideal. Any idea how...
Hello forum,
Mike Mearls wrote a new article in which he says "The new release date for the Dungeon Master's Guide is December 9th. For those stores that take part in our early release program, the book goes on sale November 28th."
I really want that book on my shelf as soon as possible, but I...
Go to dnd.wizards.com.
At the top, hover over PRODUCT INFO, then TABLETOP GAMES and click on DIGITAL TOOLS.
Scroll down for the so called "4TH EDITION LEGACY TOOLS."
Slightly off topic: there are movement rates in 5e?
Where are they described? In the basic pdf and/or the Starter Set? Currently away from books so I can't check.
I'm asking because I'm running Lost Mine of Phandelver and I handwaved cross-country movement to "You can move one hex per day,"...
Right now it's definitely 4th edition. It just works perfectly for our group.
That being said, we've done two sessions of the Starter Set now and we're really into it. 5e might match or even exceed 4e soon, tho I still have my doubts.
I think that if you assume the DM has some system mastery and that some spells are going to stick in your mind, you can dumb it down even further:
Fireball (3rd Lvl; DC14, 8d6, dex save halves)
Thanks for the tip! The archive trick is going to make things a lot easier.
I also found a document of a project I worked on a few years ago: a compilation of all of the DMEXP articles. I had apparently started right after the final article of the 2011 compilation, and gave up - as luck would...
Well, we've lost some of it.
If you go to the new Wizards D&D website and go to their articles, you can see all of the old articles up until Stephen King's Third Eye (posted on 02/23/2012). Anything older than that is apparently gone.
I've tried Google and the Way Back Machine, but to no...
Short answer: either eBay or my friendly-but-sadly-not-so-local-gaming-store.
Long answer:
I bought my first D&D book from eBay in (I think) 2010. I think it was the 3.5 PHB, but it might have been the entire core 3 (each from a different seller). I had been previously running my campaigns...
