...I understand how you feel, im an artist myself and at the moment i've got 4 tasks...

lol....thanks for understanding Sonical....I may have to take a stab at this in a few weeks when things slow down a bit...and when I do...a few explanations may be in order for some of those requests ;-)

What do you all think about this older Ogre concept sketch?

... it's merely an issue of personnal taste and not something that should nessessarily be taken to heart.

I would take it as such...if I did not agree with you. Color is still new to me in my work and I wasn't particularly happy with my early results...thats why I have been posting them...to see If someone might see the little thing that I did not. Thank you...I like them much better now that they are toned down...they still need some work though.

Excellent drawing, but I think it faces the same problem as the goblin did (not cartoony, which I try to watch 24/7) the thing is they don't look like wht i'd say were goblins and ogres, The ogre looks like an orc without any perspective (right word? i mean any way to judge height). May I suggest a hunch and dirtier clothes?

What would you reccomend....maybe a little more grey?

Thanks for commenting...keep it coming.

Uhm... I don't know why, but I have always thought of goblins as sickly looking creatures and the vibrant green makes them seem too lively. While grey would definitely give them a more pallid look, I think that just making the green a few shades paler would do the trick too.

Your art rocks. If you have any time, try some of these characters.

Haldir
Male Half-Orc Druid
Leather Armor
+1 Scimitar
Large Wooden Shield
Necklace of animal teeth
Wounds regenerating (like if you cast regenerate moderate woiunds)

Araos
Elven Sorcerer/Psychic Warrior
Flowing Red robes
Long Flowing Black Hair
Crystal longsword with a jeweled hilt
Dark green cloak
(if visible)Deep blue pants

Rudic Noson
Human Paladin
Follower of Torm
Scalemail
Heavy Flail on his Right side
Glaive on his Back
Whip tied above his belt
Whip Dagger on his Left Side
Holy Symbol
Gauntlets
Sholder Length greasy black hair
Goatee

Love to see what you can do.

If you are taking requests, I have one that I would like to see your take on.

Lumen Romerac
Human

Sorcerer8/ Blessed of Mesos1 (for anyone that plays in the Scarred Lands, you would likely know the type ...)
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 135lbs
Build: Lean (only a Str of 10)
Face: Slightly benevolent, if possible.
Eyes: Glow slightly, and have a 6pointed star as the pupils
Hair: Shoulder Length, light color
Clothing: Light sleeveless shirt, and loose fitting pants. Wears a cloak with lightening bolts (of sorts) stiched into it.
Hold an Ashandari on his right hand. If youve read Robert Jordans Wheel of Time series, then its the weapon that Matt uses, if not, it is basically a shortened(about a half a foot off) quarterstaff, with a shortsword blade mounted on the shortened end. If you can, draw runes into the blade, and along the haft, if not, dont worry.

Background doesnt matter, neither does the pose.

Hope you can draw it, you have about the best style Ive seen in a while.
