Crazy Northeast Storm Pics

For those of you who might be interested what almost 30 inches of snow in about 24 hours look like (if the first word of the name of your town is something like 'Los' or 'El', I am definitely talking to you...)

This was taken from our apartment in the middle of Boston.

It's not immediately obvious, but the "ridge" you see in this next one is actually the top of a car...completely submerged by snow.

Hey, at least it was pretty, school was cancelled on Monday, and the Pats won...I'll take it.

Good thing we have another 2-4 inches coming tonight...(sigh).

Ayuh.

Looks like some of my winters in N'Hampshah.

Of course I am gleefully living around all the El's and Los's nowadays ;)

OK. Here was the view (attached) Sunday from my bedroom window.

My second-floor bedroom window.

OK, I have a townhouse with a sharply-slanting roof, which goes down past my second-floor windows (think of the way a barn roof often double-angles). So there is a ledge outside the window, probably a foot wide, for the snow to accumulate upon. Also, it looks cool where the wind actually drifted some snow through the screen.

If it's any consolation, the weather services now claim that it'll be tomorrow day, rather than tonight. So we get to make our ways home from work in it, rather than have it done with before you head to work :)

Nice pics MSD.

We were supposed to get some of that snowstorm over the weekend (not nearly to the extent you folks on the east coast did, but enough snow to make it fun!). Nope, not here, apparently a "hole" developed in the storm as it passed over Ohio....

Wow, that makes me want to go out and build a snow fort!! Next gaming session if the snow is still around you need to place your copy of Frostburn on the table for all to see that you are using it.

Just go to Kemi here in Finland and rent the Snowcastle Hotel. It's made almost completely out of snow and ice. :)

It's what you do when you get as much snow as we:

There seems to be a problem with your host, or rather your files doesn't seem to be on the server... even www.adventuresomedreams.com goes straight to your hosts standard page...

We've had a light feathering of snow (less than ½ an inch) and would love to see those pictures... yes, I DO love snow
