[PbP] The Sandman's Binding Game Thread

Jonas, seeing a dwarf critically wounded puts his hands and channels the power of Nobanion's healing into him. He will then ready his sword and step into the ensuing melee. "Clai, What is that Eye doing???"

Claiborne steps toward the sounds of battle, keeping his eye on the eye

Jonas moves to H 11 and lays hands on the critically hurt dwarf. when he is done he will take a 5' step toward up to engage in melee. claiborne moves to C11. In round 2 Jonas will take 2 swats at the bad guy and claiborne's action will depend upon the wounded.

Sean weaves his way into the battle field and swings his rifle into aim, targeting one of the crossbow wielding instect-like creatures. Once comfortable with his position he lets a bullet loose.

Sean will move to a position where he can get a clear shot on one of the creatures (F13 if they don't move), and then fire his rifle.
 

Combat Round 2

Dorn charges towards one of the crossbow bearing insects leaving himself open for an attack. The spiked one takes advantage lunging forward biting toward Dorn’s shoulder. The bite connects solidly and catches an open spot in Dorn’s armor. Dorn feels an unnatural chill in his shoulder, by it quickly subsides (To Hit 32, 15 damage, Fort Save 23). He moves forward to engage an insectoid.

Ichtor begins to recite arcane word that shift the binding of space and time. His spell reaches through astral boundaries to call forth a horror of the Far Realms. The eye purrs contently.
(Summon Monster IV - Giant Owl NG, Tojanda, Small N, Xorn, Small N, Arrowhawk, Small N, Magmin CN, Varguouille NE - tell me what you want for when the spell completes next round.)

Lord Swifthammer bellows a Dwarven war cry and swings his war hammer at the spiked insectoid engaged in melee with him. A loud crack is heard as it connects solidly. Lord Swifthammer bellows," Die fiend!"

The insectoid engaged with Dorn drops his crossbow and launches a full out attack. A flurry of bites and claws follows as it lashes out. A bite and a claw slip pass Dorn’s tight defense laying a gash on his legs.
(Bite TH 26, 4 Claws 16, 25, 20, 20 - Damage Bite 10, Claw 3, Fort 24)

The other insectoid uses Dorn distraction to dance away and line a better shot next round.
(Double Move)

Sean moves across the battlefield with a grim resolution. He lines a shot at the insectoid facing Lord Swifthammer and lets forth a mighty blast.
(TH 31, 10 damage) The insectoid takes the blast in its side, staggering.

Nazgrel calls upon the forces of nature and invokes a fire of vengeance. The blasts strikes the spiked insectoid facing Captain Bal. The fiend is rocked by the divine might, but seems unscorched.
(Damage 20, Can’t use the initial position because Dorn moved before you cast.)

Captain Bal lashes out at the fiend as it is off guard and catches it with a brutal strike that cracks its chitin shell.

Jonas calls on Nobanion to heal the wounded dwarf.
(Lay on Hands 17) He then advances toward the spiked fiend.

The hardy dwarfs engage the beasts but can’t match their skill in combat and are unable to land a blow. The pale dwarf collapses to the floor unmoving.

Claibrone calls, "I think the eye is moving toward the battle!" He then advances to keep an eye on the eye.

Jonas, seeing that Lord Swifthammer has the help of not only his colorguard, but also the help of Sean Reaver, looks to Dorn I knew he was a brave one Jonas moves to strike at the advesary with a cross bow in hand while trying to get its attention. Jonas moves to L10 and attacks once (+14, d8+10 dam/crit 19-20/x2) Power Attack for 2. "FIGHT ME FOUL BEAST, FEEL THE WRATH OF MY GOD"

Claiborne, while switching his attention from the battle to the eye and back again, notices the condition of the lord of the mannor and of his new friend Dorn. Remembering that Swifthammer is only part of a dream, he thinks, he races to Dorn's aid and begins incantations "Nobanion's hand of health and goodness, channel your healing powers to a Lord in Need" Move to J-9 this round avoiding AOO. Will heal dorn Next round.

EDIT: Changed actions entirely. The map really helps. Thanks PB

Nazgrel engages the nearest insectoid, flanking if possible, taking two swings at it with his heavy pick.

"Nobanion's tooth for you, vermin!!"

OOC: Nazgrel strikes with his heavy pick +1. +11/+6 attack, 1d6+4, 20/x4 piercing damage.

OOC2: Can you update the map as battle progresses, PB?
 

Ichtor tries to open a channel to the Elemental Plane of Earth, wondering if it will work...

With mechanical like movements Sean does his practiced attack routine. He lets his rifle fall to the ground to be caught by its leather strap and have it land on his right side torso. Drawing his pistol he aims the insectoid up and lets another bullet fly towards it (mw pistol +12 [1d10/crit x3]), then holsters his gun.
 

Dorn ingores his pain and discomfort and takes the battle to the insects. Shifting position to enter the corridor, Dorn swings the greataxe freely.

Shift position to K7 and full attack the insectoid. Greataxe +13/+8 (1d12+6/crit 19-20/x3)
OOC: hate blue...

Also, Dorn wears his coif of ferocity, so he won't drop until -9 hp (lets hope it doesn't come to that :D)

Here's the combat map for the last round of combat I posted. Sorry for the mix up. I have my Biochem GRE's tomorrow morning so I won't post the next round till tomorrow evening. Feel free to alter your actions if the map makes you changes your mind on anything.
