The Kobold's Captive (ozymandias79 judging)

Trevor shift to K12 and attack the large shadow, but he is unable to strike at the shadow.

[SBLOCK=OOC]I suppose 15 is not enough to hit: 1d20+8=15, 1d8+4=6

And I could have used my secondary attack, as Passing Attack allow to shift 1 square if you hit before doing the secondary attack.[/SBLOCK]

Vixo deftly slides about the battlefeild and brings down a vicious strike on the shadow. It looks very hurt now. (S8 is bloodied)

Skalisss moves in front of the large shadow and smites it. It evaporates. (S8 is dead.)

Trevor moves around the shadow mote and attacks, but his strike misses (I moved your attack to S3 since S8 is dead)

Hadrak speaks a prayer and a holy glow grants strength to his allies.

The shadow who had been doing all the throwing suddenly feels very alone and takes flight into the darkness of the forest.

[sblock="OOC"] Alright, all ya have to do is take out a minion and it's over. Unless you want to chase down the one who ran. I can zoom out the map.

Trevor, I appologize, guess I didn't read passing attack correctly.

Cross your up.

Cross steps away from the remaining shade, while spinning his staff. He points it just behind his last foe, before bringing it with a triumpthant "Incendio!"... another column of fire burns down from the sky vaporizing, consuming both the shadow and its dead companion.

[sblock=actions]Move: Shift to K10
Std: Scorching Burst on square M13, Roll Lookup
hit: 1d20+5+2 vs Ref (S3)=17, dam: 1d6+5=6
hit: 1d20+5+2 Vs Ref (S2, dead)=27, dam: 1d6+5=11

As Cross' Flames destroy the last shadow leaving the grass scorched and charred, your eyes follow the shadow that ran and notice something just beyond the tree line. It might be the source of the shadows.

[sblock="OOC"]

And it's treasure. ;)

Cross bends to pick up a rock, then mutters "lumos"... causing the rock to emit a bright glow of light. Gritting his teeth in a menacing snarl, he taps the base of his staff on the ground... causing it's runes to burn & emit a sulphric smoke. He turn his gaze to the warriors, and asks "shall we investigate, gentlemen?"

[sblock=actions]Move: pick up rock
Minor: cast light on rock
Std: Prep Scorching Burst (mostly for effect)[/sblock]

Behind the treeline you find etched into the ground a circle the circle is marked various strange symbols and six long since burned out candles at points around the circle.

Beside the circle is a torn and tattered cloak splattered with blood and beside that lays a wooden staff mark with symbols all down it.

Trevor approach the circle as he sheet his sword. "Looks like some kind of magic at first sight."

He start to inspect it and the two items and try to find the meaning of all that.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Arcane check: 1d20+8=23[/SBLOCK]
