Ring of the Fey Lord (DM:Atanatotatos, Judge:Lord Sessadore)Up:Lorik, etc.

ooc: I'm still with you, my players. Sorry for the late update!

Haruka's spells all reach the elf, that grimaces in pain. The Eladrin finds Lorik's crossbow dart in his leg, and does not seem too happy about it.
The panther is taken aback by the sudden explosion of ice but it jumps at Ikni again nonetheless, and sinks its claws in the genasi again.
The swordmage stands and recovers some strenght, marking with arcane sigils the elf next to her.
Derien moves towards his companion and heals her with a spell, then reinforces himself for the attacks to come.
Heinrich decides that a temporary retreat is better than confronting the nimble elf in melee. But the scout disagrees. He follows Heinrich behind the trees and launches another assault at the bugbear. He dodges the longsword, but the shorter blade cuts him.
Meanwhile, the Eladrin shoots a single arrow at Lorik, that once again pierces and burns, then he retreats.
The archer schorched by Haruka foolishly seeks revenge on the sorceress. He shoots a perfectly aimed arrow at her, but some sort af magical shield protects her from much of the damage, while flames light around him in retaliation. The elf screams from the pain, and falls dead.
An arrow from the other archer hits Derien lightly.

[sblock=Now to become the most popular person in the party]Uh, Ata, your hp counts are off. As in, they're too high. I think you might have used the round 1 data instead of round 2 for some of us. I have us as follows:

Haruka: 11/30+4
Lorik: -6/29
Ikni: 22/31
Derien: 11/26
Heinrich: 12/26

Yeah, I hope I'm wrong.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]wtf, it you're right I messed up big time! let me check...[/sblock]

EDIT:[sblock=ooc]yeah I did mess up big time. Sorry guys. However, Lorik seeing the gravity of his situation, was able to gulp that potion really fast, don't you think? :p[/sblock]

[sblock=Huddle!]Ok, here's what I'm thinking. We're all going to die. We're in a tight spot. Heinrich can use two move actions to get to the M30 area, either by using an action point or taking the AoO. The scout will most likely follow. Then we (everyone but Ikni) can jump the scout, hopefully taking him down quickly. Once the scout's out, Heinrich is free to snipe away at people, so he and I can take down the archer while everyone else works on locking down the panther and eladrin. We should try to avoid bunching up, as the eladrin seems to have some measure of AOE.

Thoughts?[/sblock]

[sblock=Tactics]I was thinking the exact opposite: we should leave Heinrich swinging in the breeze let Heinrich keep the scout off our backs for a few rounds while the rest of us deal with the Eladrin archer. He just hits way too hard, and way too often, for me to feel comfortable putting him off.

My tentative plan was to push the panther off of Ikni with Cause Fear so that she could get up in the Eladrin's face, and then the rest of us could take out the panther and the elf archer (the other one died in one shot, right? So they're minions?). With that done we can focus fire on the Eladrin, maybe with me and Lorik heading back around the tree to finish the scout and apply Heal to Heinrich.[/sblock]

[sblock=Tactics]No, the archers aren't minions. The first one died so quickly because I used an AP and he triggered the secondary damage of Hellish Rebuke. Right now, I think they're the most offensively powerful enemies on the table, depending on how the eladrin's AOE works. However, they are also almost certainly the weakest defensively, while I suspect the panther can take a beating. I don't want to be whittling down the panther while the archer takes potshots at us, especially since he could drop most of us with one good shot.

Normally, I would say we should go for the archer, but there's a bunch of difficult terrain in the way. Although we may be able to avoid it if we walk in the right spots. I'm also nervous about pushing the panther away, given that it did some extra nastiness on its first charge. It's not doing that much damage right now.

Ok, new plan. Derien heals Lorik, and then moves to S21 to blast the archer. Lance of Faith's bonus can be given to ranged attacks, by the way. Not that I'm saying you should use Lance; Sacred Flame has some good stuff going for it too. Lorik charges the panther, marking it. Ikni moves past the panther to engage the eladrin (this will draw an AoO). Then I come in and also blast the elven archer. Hopefully between the two of us we can take him down quickly. Once he drops we move on to the panther or the eladrin, depending on which one needs it more.

Meanwhile, Heinrich will be performing a complex maneuver that will either drop the scout crazy fast, or fail horribly, depending on whether he connects with his daily. It would go like this:

Standard: Blinding Barage. If this hits, do the following:
Minor: Reload
Move->Minor: Activate Predatory Eye
Action Point: King's Castle, with SA and Predatory Eye bonus

That's a ton of damage if the scout gets blinded. Future turns will probably consist of shift, Sly Flourish, reload in a circle to not get caught with his back to difficult terrain.

What do you guys think? I'm not trying to force actions upon you, well, ok, I am a little. But I do think this is a solid plan, so just take these as suggestions.[/sblock]

ooc: That sounds like a pretty good plan. Ikni is pretty good at locking down a ranged enemy, and it's probably worth eating the OA to get her on the eladrin, especially if it will draw a combat challenge attack from Lorik in return.

Whose turn is it? Haruka and Lorik?

ooc: Well, luckily, we can pretty much order ourselves as we need to. I think the only requirement is that Lorik goes before Ikni, to lessen the effect of the AoO. And even then I think you could post your turn and say you're delaying it until after Lorik goes.

Haruka giggles as the archer is consumed by flames. "Well, that wasn't very clever of you, now was it?" She shudders slightly as some of the elf's life is transferred to her. "Now for your friend."

She sloshes through the march, offhandedly cursing the panther as she passes by. Once she catches sight of her target, she unleashes another crackling lash that tears through the air between them and catches the elf in the chest.

[sblock=Actions]Minor: Curse the panther.
Move: Move to P20, gaining concealment from Shadow Walk.
Standard: Eldritch Blast the archer. Hits Reflex 23 for 16 damage (using +1 for timely posting to boost damage). Alright, that's a good start.

It would be great if Heinrich would do what I laid out in my previous post. If Blinding Barrage misses, he should step back instead of activating Predatory Eye, and King's Castle anyway.[/sblock]
