Trapped in Hell's Basement (DM: Mal Malenkirk Judge:Covaithe)

ooc: Initiative roll: 1d20+2= 22 Wow! A crit on an initiative roll...great...:p

Max, inspired by Haruku's attack races foward. "Com'on Raiko, let's finish this guy!" Max then charges landing a sickening blow to the left shoulder, blood spurting out of the wound. The foe is obviously battered.

[sblock=actions]

Raiko can move up to three squares

minor: none
movement: move to G3
attack: charge to I3 to attack foe: 1d20+9+1 VS: AC = 30 crit again...wow! for (1d8+5) = 13 damage :)

[sblock=Ahsir]That was ballsy but there is one problem with it; You can't reach H2 in on run (8 square).

You can't cut accross corners (move diagonal). You have to move to H3 before moing into H2. So you are 1 square short.

What should we do here? Double move and then AP for one success (and no penalty for running)?

[sblock=OOC]Yes, that work (except the damage from fire will be 2 instead of 1).

Judging by the time tag, if I had stayed up twenty minutes later I could have updated...

I think I can do it late this evening (I must be at home to update). No promise; once I am done working like a dog until 8pm (I hate thursdays!), I must go cheer for my team at the local sports bar with friends.

Montreal Canadiens vs Washington Capitals, Stanley cup playoff. If you've followed the season, you know my poor Habs need all the cheering they can get! The fan in me keeps the faith but...

ooc - go Halak! He can outduel either goalie on Washington. I would not expect anything from most Montrealers tonight :) (I love Canadian fans)

[Sblock=OOC]YESSS! The habs won the first round! We won 3-2 in OT.

Best of 7 makes it harder to pull off a miracle than a sudden death tournament, but we took the first step. GO HABS GO!

The archivist identifies his greatest threats by the amount of pain he endured; clearly it is Haruka. He takes a powerful swing at he but miss widely.

The turrets then fire randomly and Raiko is unlucky enough to get a bolt in the shoulder.

Patrin charges into the room and takes off the head of the archivist. Not a glorious kill, the poor guy was barely standing from the combined assault he had already endured.

Ashir's face drops as he sees the books burning, he lets out a scream of rage and runs past his allies, knocking into them in his haste. He seems to care little for his own safety, running headlessly towards the flames.

"You bastard! My allies will make you pay for this. How could you do this to the precious materials?" the genasi screams at the corpse,

He begins scanning the materials, picking out important pieces even as tears roll down his cheeks as he knows he will likely be unable to save everything.

I wish I could share your enthusiasm towards hockey...but I can't. After the year long strike I quit watching. Are the Blackhawks any good? :) I've been to a couple Blues games...but that was years ago.

Max yells "I'm going for one of the turrets!" He runs foward toward and leaps high in the air bringing his sword crashing down on the machine, which takes a direct hit. Splitters of shattered wood scatter everywhere. But the machine is still in workable condition. "Damn...what are these things made of away!"
