Scorpius moves forward, swinging his chain this way and that, till it finally slices across one of the bandits, taking him by surprise.

[sblock=ooc]Move: Walk to X17
Standard: Clever Strike vs Bandit 2, 21 vs AC, 18 damage.[/sblock]

[sblock=Scorpius]I owe you one stat block[/sblock]

Eager to take advantage of the Bandit's surprise, Ruarc leaps down from the gate with a wordless howl, hurling his hand axe at the center bandit as he plummets and launching a furious attack against another when he comes to earth. He's drawing a second Hand Axe even as his Battle Axe bites deep into the Bandit's side.

The spirit moves in and words of doom and despair into the mind of the bandit, but he does not listen.

[sblock=Scotley]
How do you visualize the spirit? I hope to find a better token for it. [/sblock]

Scorpius moves forward, swinging his chain this way and that, till it finally slices across one of the bandits, taking him by surprise and as the chain slams into him, a vicious slash severs his carotid artery and the man falls, spraying Ruarc with his lifeblood on the descent.

"Mort?" the archer calls out hesitantly, "Oh :):):):), you killed my cousin. You'll be paying for that, get them boys" he calls out, as he tosses the vial towards the fort. Fire bursts at the stables as the man draws his bow.

The other bandits move with speed, and surprising skill, one moving away from the group, spinning and hurling a javelin at Scorpius, causing a superficial wound in the half-orc's right thigh. The other moves forward, quickly towards Ruarc, appearing to look to stab the goliath, but suddenly the bandit darts forward, weaving so quickly that Ruarc can't react. As Scorpius' attention is on the other bandit he doesn't see the other enemy or the deadly projectile flying towards him. The javelin pierces his left side and the world grows dark for Scorpius as the others see him fall to the ground. The one who threw the weapon calls out "Yeah, that'll learn'em good" as he draws another javelin.

[sblock=Enemy Actions]

Faustus, Tiefling Avenger

OOC: Faustus is slow to react to the threat. Even slower than usual, init=6, right renau1g? :) When he is able to get out the door, he'll look all around in amazement and will probably move to his right (W) to bash the bandit there, unless the bugger moves off somewhere else before then....

[sblock=ooc]
Yeah, Faustus is slow reacting this time, but all the adventurers are up and posts will be resolved in post-order so whenever you want to go. :) [/sblock]

Not so fast!

The archer takes his attention off the hovering hawk to throw the object. The Fire Hawk sees its chance, rakes at the archer with its fiery talons and vanishes.
[sblock=Fire Hawk Opportunity Attack]attack attack roll (1d20+4=8) 1d8+4=11 fire damage[/sblock][sblock=OOC]But since the archer shifted I do not think that would be an opportunity attack. Oh, I get it! The Fire Hawk is in the same square and thus is adjacent if the target shifts only one square.:blush:[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]I do not know if Elurin has cover from the archer right now. He wants to cast from out of cover and will move if he has to. If he does not have cover now, he casts and moves into cover.[/sblock]The druid recalls his Fire Hawk 1d20+4=10, 1d8+4=11 Elurin exhales slowly, I need to be calm even in battle, he thinks.

His first foe successfully slain, Ruarc shifts to engage the next. Quickly scanning his new foe to determine where to strike, the giant Ranger goes to work with his axes. His attack with the battle axe misses, but distracts the bandit long enough for him to plant his hand axe deep. Using his great mass and strength he swings the bandit around before pulling his axe free with a wet slurping sound.

[sblock=Actions](I can't link to IC from work - all rolls are listed under Character Name: Ruarc

Free: Hunter's Quarry - Bandit 1
Move: Shift to X19
Standard: Plant to the Hilt (Encounter) - Battle Axe (16 vs. AC Misses), Hand Axe (23 vs. AC Hits for 9 damage plus 1 :mad: for Hunter's Quarry - total 10) and Slide Bandit 1 to Y19.[/sblock]
