Our Group

Here's about the only pic I could find that had most members of our group together over the gaming table. This was taken last September. We're spread out all over the country, so we only get together about 3 times a year. Each time we do get together, however, it's a 2-3 day/night marathon.

We're using a homemade hex board in this pic, though we've since switched to a square grid.

Most of our sessions take place at various remote hunting lodges in Pennsylvania. It's nice to get away from kids, family, jobs, etc. to be a group of full-fledged nerds for 72+ hours.

We tend to induldge other addictions, dormant most of the year, during our sessions - hence the can of dip and the beer bottles. Sleep deprivation is the rule.

This particular campaign is set in the homebrew world of Valusia. The group you see consists of four of my players (one of them a badly-edited image of him wearing Gimli's helmet). We've been playing D&D since about 1986, with a couple breaks for college and what-not. We started with 1st Edition, switched to a homebrew system, then came back into the fold with 3E.

Um...that's about it.

Cheers!
RJ

Looks like you have an RPG library to rival Monte's!

Well, thanks...although I would not dare go toe to toe with Monte (collection-wise).

Although, with that said ...not all my collection shows up in the photos. I have a couple more shelves upstairs with all my 3rd Ed. and d20 stuff. Anyway, I guess I have gotten carried away at times. I still even have some paper D&D birthday party plates (still in shrink)!

Thanks for checking out my group/game room. I'm grateful for what I do have, although I would have to say: If you have a great bunch of friends to play regularly play RPG games with, all the material stuff in the world can't replace that! Soak it up while you can.

Cheers!

(P.S. Are there any other bold groups out there that would like to post a snap shot? Come'on...take the leap. You are among friends here.)
