D&D 5E Check Out Wild Beyond the Witchlight's Back Cover & Text

Wild Beyond the Witchlight now has a back cover, complete with product text! The adventure is for levels 1-8, and features a poster map.

Something Wicked This Way Comes

Once every eight years the fantastic Witchlight Carnival touches down on your world, bringing joy to one settlement after the next. It's owners, Mister Witch and Mister Light, know how to put on a good show. But there's more to this magical extravaganza than meets the eye!

The carnival is a gateway to a fantastic Feywild domain unlike anything found on the Material Plane. Time has not been kind to this realm, however, and the dark days lie ahead unless someone can thwart the dastardly schemes of the Hourglass Coven.

The Wild Beyond the Witchlight takes adventureres from the Witchlight Carnival to Prismeer, a Feywild domain of delight. This book comes with a poster map that shows the carnival on one side and the Prismeer on the other.

If this is only levels 1-8... it does give me a Waterdeep: Dragon Heist / Dungeon of the Mad Mage impression. There was talk of five books released this year, so I wonder if there is a companion adventure to Wild Beyond The Witchlight that we haven't heard about yet that is going to cover the higher tiers, just like DotMM went beyond the levels 1-5 of Dragon Heist?

That didn't click with me when I first read it, but there is no way it's a coincidence, it has to be. I'm intrigued by the idea of the domains of delight, but I'm curious as to who created them (the Dark Powers seem unlikely), and how they work, and how they differ compared to the Domains of Dread.

Could this be the Feywild's Curse of Strahd before a Domains of Delight Campaign Setting Book in the future?
 

Now I am suspecting there is some project about the Feywild equivalent to Ravenloft in the Shadowfell, something like the "demiplane of the awe", with space for family-friendly stories, even with some pieces for the comedy or the romance, but also for young adult audiences. It would be fun for the next April's Fool to add new Feywild domains based in Hasbro's old (and almost forgotten) franchises.

Why? To create a multimedia franchise, selling comics, toys, videogames, not only TTRPG.

Other adventage is to be a transitional setting, where characters from all the multiverse are "wellcome". The "land within the wind" was canon in the 4th Ed Dark Sun.

My suggestion? To tell the Feywild can be a place like a "The Devil wears Prada" (or Games of Thrones) but with lord faes.

It would be a good bet to think that - Domains of Dread v Domains of Delight

The Ray Bradbury nod is nice, though calling the protagonist Witch and Light a bit on the nose.

Also is there a trend lately to progress fantasy from classic medieval towards early Modernity?

One of the writers of VRGtR mentioned he was writing a South Asian inspired section for a book in 2022 for WotC, now I'm wondering if it could be one of the Domains of Delight for a future Domains of Delight Campaign Setting Book (curious what such a Campaign Setting will be called?).
