D&D 5E Dexterity and Dragons

I want to run a one shot with physical tasks replacing die rolls. For example, throwing darts at a dart board to generate die rolls, using a jenga tower to determine if a skill check fails, Flick em Up for a combat, etc... I'll use pregenerated PCs designed to accommodate the rules from a mechanics and balance perspective.

What other physical/dexterity challenges would you suggest for this type of game?

Sounds like a few classic kids games might work?
  • jacks
  • tiddlywinks
  • beanbags/cornhole, washers, or ring toss
  • hopscotch
If you've got access to the equipment,
  • air hockey or foosball
  • bumper pool or carroms
  • rock'em sock'em robots!

There've been a number of games that have used Jenga stacks for resolution mechanics.

At the D&D Epic at Origins one year, there were physical challenges in a breakout room. The three options were stacking dice, guessing letters on chits in a bag, and a nerf crossbow shoot (which, whether accidentally or on purpose, the target was placed right beneath an air vent, meaning that when the AC kicked on, shots got a lot harder).

If you're looking for something more strength and endurance based, you could use opposed planking contests or push-ups.

Knife game for sure.
If I played that again I couldn't type.
Jelly wrestling
Nobody wants to see me, as a DM, "roll" this way.

I want to avoid physical strength and endurance in favor of skill/dexterity. There needs to be luck involved, at least to an extent, to give everyone a feeling they could do well.

A lot of other good suggestions, there.

How about the game Operation, where you have to take items with tweezers without touching the wrong part of the board, and if you do, a buzzer sounds? Looks like it can still be found and is not too expensive.

Also, how about a bean bag toss? Or for a similar idea that needs less specialized equipment, pitching poker chips into a bucket some distance away?
