D&D 5E Is it just me or are Harengons really (maybe a little too) good?

this is straight up wrong - they don't get to reroll the save, they only add 1d4.

i think the harengon is good, but i wouldn't say it's too good. if you want a race that's too good, look at the "brb multiplying my speed by 5 by jumping repeatedly" hadozee.
Good catch thanks.

It's not as good as the MMOM Eladrin, Shadar-Kai or new Astral Elf teleports. The Harengon version can't be used to escape Grapples or pass through barriers like cage bars. They all get to use their abilities PB/Long rest.

Plus, looks like they get bonus abilities WHEN they misty step (like the Shadar Kai resistance to ALL damage until your next turn; that's quite good). I need to relook at at a bunch of these races.

Finally, they can bonus action move (jump) up to 10 feet without provoking attacks of opportunity (proficiency bonus times per day). That's REALLY good for certain classes. It's just a slightly weaker misty step (that Eladrin get) but the Harengon can do it more often (a lot more often as levels increase).

Not OP at all.

Compared to the Goblin's bonus-to-disengage-or-hide every turn: that's a 10, this is a 4.
Compared to Eladrin/Shadar-Kai teleport: if that's a 10, this is a 6 or 7.

It's solidly in the middle of the pack of races (IMO, YMMV, etc.)

What I really love about the Harengon is that there's no magic involved -- you can play a fully mundy/spell-less character if you want. That's increasingly rare.
