D&D General DALL·E 3 does amazing D&D art

Not what I was going for at all, but I really like this one.

It doesn't seem to do very well with being told to not show something. For example, I tried endlessly to show someone in robes without a hood or at least without wearing one, but no variation of "not wearing hood" or "hood is on shoulders" gave me anything but portraits of a dude wearing his hood. Similarly, I am trying to do a portrait of a hobgoblin NPC in my game but the AI is convinced hobgoblin = huge pointed ears and no prompt I have managed has eliminated that, including telling it I want her to have small round ears!

No, it can't do negative prompts at all. If you want smaller ears, though, you can try something like "small-eared". That has worked OK for me in the past.

Because Facebook just showed me a D&D post promoting the "Grim Hallow" from the new Book of Many Things, here is my take on it:

Back after a bit with Deity number 23. Do not fear the eldritch moon, for it's light will guard your sleep tonight.

Little Dreamer is the name given to the second, smaller moon that orbits the planet of Salvera. While the larger, silver-toned Camalune acts as the true, standard moon with it's typical lunar cycle and constant orbit, Little Dreamer's orbit is irregular with no cycle of waxing or waning and a habit of shifting it's eerie, luminous glow between red, blue, and purple before becoming a mesmerizing cascade of all three over its black rock-like body. While Camalune brings comfort and guidance to those until it's light, Little Dreamer often gives people a strange feeling of being watched no matter where they might find themselves in the world. The strangest aspect of this eerie moon however is that its visage always shows up in the dreams of all those living on the planet, no matter what time they are dreaming, or where they reside. Even those living in places where the moon never shines will have this strange object floating high up in the sky of their dreams, whether they realize it or not.

Should those with greater control over their dream state, such as lucid dreamer or dream mages, ever gaze up at the dream version of the strange moon, they would see an object that is altogether more unsettling then its form in the waking world. The moon's surface seems to shift unnaturally, pulsing and writhing as if made from living tissue. Wisping tendrils flow down from it's surface, melding into the ever expanding dreamscape as if it was one with it. The sight is unsettling and even overwhelming at times, but no harm ever comes from those who simply gaze upon this eldritch moon, and some even come to view the moon as a comforting companion in the never ending expanse of the dream worlds they travel through in their sleeping hours. Even during the most horrific of nightmares, Little Dreamer floats high in the sky of the dream realm, ever watching. For most, Little Dreamer is just a strange yet benign moon. But for the followers of "That Which Gazes Upon Dreaming Mind", Little Dreamer is an weakened, eldritch avatar for a cosmic being far beyond mortal comprehension, who's views of the mortal of the plane is like a human's view of ants scurrying about, only instead of indifference and dispassion, it wishes to watch and preserve them and their beautiful, dreaming minds.

Eldest Dream, also known as "That Which Gazes Upon Dreaming Mind" and The Watching Moon, is the deity of dreams, nightmares, sleep, and the protection of the mind. Most depictions for this entity simply use the form of Little Dreamer, for their real form is truly unknowable to the mortal mind and The Watching Moon wishes to keep the minds of those it observes free from the corrupting influence of any eldritch and cosmic threat, even itself. However, over the eons Eldest Dream has learned how to more safely communicate through dream visions and strange omens that reveal themselves under the glow of the eldritch moon. Those with innate psionic capabilities or aberrant ancestry are sometime resilient enough to form a greater connection to "That Which Gazes Upon Dreaming Mind" by using Little Dreamer as a magical or psionic conduit. It is said that only it's rarely chosen champions have ever been strong enough to be granted a single glimpse of its shadowed visage, and those that did so were greatly empowered, yet forever changed by the experience. Those that follow the Eldest Dream seek to protect the dream realm from malignant forces that wish to twist the dreams of mortals for their own dark purposes. These followers also seek to prevent all manner the corrupting creatures, even those from the Far Realm, from causing mental corruption and madness that would warp the dreams of mortals into something unnatural, for The Watching Moon find the natural dreams to be the most beautiful and succulent to gaze upon. No one knows why the Eldest Dream watches mortal dreams, or why it so vehemently defends them, but the other gods accept this strange being into their ranks none the less and we can only hope it never tires of the sight of our sleeping fantasies.
