Speaking of looking for a RP scene. I am pretty sure that this area of Texas (border of Mexico) is actually the Geek Abyss. There is not a comic store, nore game shop for over 100 miles so far as I know.

wow, I feel for you matey. Did you scout around for a group yet?

That's the kind of place I would love to spend the night. I'd pack a lunch, a thermos of coffee and a flashlight, and let them lock me in. If nothing happened at least I'd have plenty to read. I love checking out ghost stories.
Yeah, I would have loved to get a chance to hang out in that library after closing time. It's one of those places WAY out in the woods in old New England so it's got some history to it. I kid you not when I say that there was at one time a group of druids that made their home in the nearby forest. I visited the supposed "area" and it was the oddest thing. Just felt weird when we were out there. I didn't think places like that exsisted.

strangely enough , the nicest library I have been is the library of the Rijksmuseum in amsterdam. It s a very open , well lit room. spanning four floors, with cast iron circular staircases. and old oak, curtained shelfs. its very nice, very victorian. Unfortunately I haven't sen it at night, to see what the effect of the stainglass ceiling would be at night
Sounds pretty cool. Is is a contemporary place or does it have some history to it?

I spelled nor with an "e". I do not deserve a new group. :D No, I think I am going to take a break from gaming again. I had some pretty intense sessions, but I am not at my best. I have lost soem of my storytelling ability over th years, and I am woking on getting it back. So I have been writing a bit more than usual, and reading much more.

Besides, I am woking on finishing a sourcebook for my homebrew, so next time I run it I actually have something to give the players instead of random collections of notebooks.

In the immortal words of Neo: Whoa.

I can relate. I've been going back and forth on my RP runs for a while now. My group is in flux and looking for a new member or two. I play in another every other month or so which is actually very fun compared to running something every week. I'm doing something similar to yourself and using this time to flesh out my homebrew so when I get the fire again we can charge right into it.

How long have you been mulling your situation for?

I will have to stop by there, should I ever make it to New England.

I very much belive in the paranormal or the supernatural, whichever term you prefer. Most places I have vistited, its just a story. Its interesting, and it makes for a great talk, but when it comes down to it and chills you get are your own nerves reacting to nervousness. Then there ae those places where you know that the world you know was left behind, and you are in someone elses world.

Fun stuff :D
