Discussion in the Mearls thread brings me back here. Went and looked and rankings and I'm baffled - why don't the 2024 books have any rankings?

Also, this is currently the top 8 in D&D genre. Only one book actually from WotC in the top 8. What is going on?

I believe that when the distribution changed to Hasbro they stopped listing new books as “books” and so they rank doesn’t show. Partly.

they were changed from books to games, which results in them having a much lower discount and no longer being ranked under books, making a comparison difficult. I assume that also affects Bookscan

So Daggerheart (the set with the cards) is out of stock at Amazon US and ranked at #78 out of all books on Amazon US. That's PHB levels, though it just released today, more days will give us a better idea.

I've heard that it's sold out at distribution too?

Also been told that it was as high as #56 yesterday.

I wish I'd been tracking it since the begining.

The highest rank I saw Daggerheart was 75. No idea if it ever got higher than that.

It zoomed up after the release date, and then bounced up near 100 once stores started selling out. From what I have heard, it sold out at UK Games Expo on the first day. Looking at Amazon and Barnes and Noble, it looks like both chains are ordering more books.

I suspect that this is selling much stronger than Darrington Press had planned. They hosting an event at Gen Con to talk about the game's future. They've already sold all 900 tickets for it and every English language Daggerheart event is sold out. That's impressive.

Locally it sold out fast, a couple of days.
