Iconic '60s Musician Dies in Car Accident
Over the past weekend, Kool & the Gang's Michael Sumler passed away in a tragic car accident in Atlanta, Georgia. The musician was 71-years-old.

In News of the Weird moments, the last living GRANDchild (not great-grandchild or great-great-grandchild) of America's 10th president, John Tyler, who left office in 1845, has died.
Harrison Ruffin Tyler, whose claim to fame is really that one oddball fact, passed away on May 25, 2025 - a little over 180 years after his grandfather left the White House. What's the secret to this? Well, Tyler was in his 60s when he fathered his son Lyon with a much younger (second) wife. Lyon, in turn, fathered Harrison when he was 75 back in 1928. Then Harrison lived to the ripe, old age of 96. One fellow member of his generation (of grandchildren of Pres. Tyler, not some broader demographic designation like Silent Generation) actually fought at the Battle of Gettysburg as part of the Army of Northern Virginia.
