D&D General DALL·E 3 does amazing D&D art

Here's the next version of Smith by ChatGPT. It improved his face but didn't fix the hands. Oh well! Overall I think I prefer the first one. But it's hard to decide really!

Here are some of the better, less obviously Iron Man images I got through Bing Image Creator (experimenting with various art styles and such but mostly using the same basic elements in the prompt):

Now that images models have improved and hands are mostly 5 fingered with a minority of problematic images, it will be difficult to ask models to draw three-fingered hands for our warforged :-)

I know! LOL.

OK, it took some photoshopping, but here is my final image of Smith, the warforged cleric of Onatar and caretaker of the temple at the Pool of Onatar's Tears in Blackbones, Sharn.

I had asked ChatGPT to give me a version with some corded sinewy musculature. The image it produced was almost the same as the above, except there was virtually no armor. It was almost all the cords, so I just blended the two together, added the hammer in a gear symbol from the first version, then added a Sovereign Host symbol on his forehead.

Here's an edited version of the image ChatGPT gave me of Blue and Crucible, the two female-presenting warforged who run the Red Hammer, a tavern / workshop for warforged in Blackbones. (Blue is a war veteran with scuffed cobalt plating, while Crucible is secretly a post-war creation of Merrix d'Cannith and thus looks all shiny and new.)

I asked ChatGPT for comic book style.

D&D spell illustration challenge, day 15: Dancing Lights

1748738135513.png

When times are tough, even a lowly cantrip can distract a crowd while you borrow some needed sustenance.

Prompt: In a bustling medieval town square, a glowing humanoid figure made of shifting colored light floats theatrically above the cobbled ground. The magical display draws a wide-eyed crowd: a child with an open-mouthed smile, a merchant frozen mid-sale, an old woman clutching her groceries in delight. City guards in uniform look at the display, squinting in suspicion. Meanwhile, in the shadows near a market stall, at the right of the image, a caped man walks away from the scene, grinning, holding an apple in his hand.

Commentary: that's a crummy spell to illustrate, especially after Color Spray.

I experimented with spell illustrations a while ago. I've posted them here in this thread, but rather than hunt through 300+ pages looking for them, I'll just repost them:
