I loved Rogue One, but I absolutely do not want this. I want Star Wars to have stakes and while most of the franchise engine resists that with all its might, giving us an actual war film, with all that entails, was wonderful.

if I remember correctly the happy ending version didn't poll nearly as well with test audiences.
