People online are complaining that Adam's nameplate has his pronouns on it; they're complaining that a character named "He-Man" has pronouns. Gonna leave that there.

I didn't notice the pronouns, because I was looking at the fact that his name is "Adam Glenn"; a He-Man writer and props designer who knows Adam's mother's maiden name is a writer and prop designer that knows He-Man. How many people complaining that He-Man's civilian identity tells people up front that he is a he-him know why the name Glenn is important?

You got it backwards.

The cartoons were ads for the toys. The toys were the endgame, not the cartoons.
Most of these were the same - the Transformers cartoons, GI Joe, etc... the toys were were the money was made.

Also, I just hope it's fun. I know it's not going to be good, but I just want fun at this point.

As someone with a twin, when we were kids, let's just say Ram-Man's spring loaded action was a lot of fun. See also this toy:

But back to Masters of the Universe. The trailer left me cold. Eternia just looks like too much CGI. I really wish people would just build models and sets again. Yes, CGI is generally cheaper, but having some sense of physicality, especially in genre works, provides a grounding action, and just plain looks better.

But back to Masters of the Universe. The trailer left me cold.
Same.

A lot of actors I like involved, and er... Jared Leto, who is a giant red flag in human form.

But the whole thing looks bland and sauceless as as hell, and the heavy use of cheap CGI is definitely part of that - it's both a difference in look and a difference in mindset. Even if you don't go full physical, going at least as physical as you practically can (as the D&D movie arguably did) gives a different vibe, and tends to be linked to movies which have more sauce, more vim, more vigor, more je ne sais quoi (the D&D movie had sauce, not buckets of it, but it had it - Jarnathan, completely insane Bradley Cooper cameo, etc. etc.). It's just like, the sort of producers and directors who sign off on going that hard on CGI... they're just not people with sauce.

I know this is not a cogent or rational argument note. This is vibes baby, but what ever was He-Man beyond vibes and selling toys?

Also Alison Brie is great casting but what a terrible outfit for Evil-Lyn, just looks cheap and generic.
