i know the userbase of his forum is mostly super age'd and out of touch but this is alarming to see so many people who think this looks good. are you healthy? you sure as hell have no idea of anything that goes on in the game industry if you think this has anything good lol

There is a whole developer side to the tech. This isn’t like modders on Nexus Mods yassifying BG3 characters. If characters in the future end up looking a certain way, it’s because the developers want them to.

I think some are pretty upset at AI right now in the PC community due to the rising prices of RAM, memory and other items.

For example, a short excursion out of town recently had SDD's being sold for £89 - £98 when I first arrived at the my location for a 1GB portable SSD. by the time I left in under two weeks it had gone up to £249 for a 1GB portable SSD. Not sure if the prices have crashed down again or continued to rise...but that's an insane amount of inflation on a hard drive in that short of a time period. Some were saying it's because Samsung or WD or someone had stated they were sold out of their hard drives already for the year, others said it's scarcity because the AI companies bought everything...all I know is that some PC gamers are a little upset at the AI companies...not due to AI but due to resource hogging.

Thus, some of the anger or those upset may not actually simply be the AI, but the things resulting from AI being pushed so hard and so fast. It's the causes of this that they are upset at, even if the AI itself would be fine otherwise. For some...not all...of course.
