Sends Joe $5 but expects this small download to have a killer cover.

Don't worry, this cover rocks....

Creatures:

Monsternomicon (Privateer Press - http://www.privateerpress.com)
Twisted Lore (Fantasy Flight Games - http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/)
Legions of Hell, Armies of the Abyss (Green Ronin - http://www.greenronin.com/)

General Stuff:

Mindscapes, Books of Eldritch Might I, II and III (Malhavoc Press - http://www.montecook.com/)
Monster's Handbook (FFG)
Mercenaries (Alderac Entertainment Group - http://www.alderac.com/)
Hammer & Helm, Bastards & Bloodlines (Green Ronin)
Spells & Spellcraft (FFG)

I'm sure I've forgotten some other standouts. Mindscapes gets my vote for best single d20 book ever -- it's unbelievably good -- with Hammer & Helm a close second. The Monster's Handbook is probably one of the best utility buys available, as are the three Books of Eldritch Might.

Nightfall

Sage of the Scarred Lands
I'm probably biased but I felt R&R 1 and R&R2 were good, and I hope the Player's Guides out there make people very happy. (At least for the Scarred Lands...) Also felt Tome of Horrors, damn great book, can't wait for the sequel. And of course Necropolis. Best damn multi-layer adventure out there...well next to the "Crushing Fist of Orcus" that is Rappan Athuk. ;)

I haven't bought that much stuff, but in even thinking about making d20 orders, the top 20 list in the reviews section here is pretty good.

Of course, it doesn't include books with <5 reviews, which leaves out great work like (IMO) Dynasties & Demagogues.

New Jersey Rocks!

Anywho, Fantasty Flight Games (at least I think it is them) put out a $4.95 "anthology" of their books. THe name of it escapes me right now but it basically has a 20 page preveiw of most of their books.

I highly reccomend that.

I also really like Necromancer Games' Tomb of Horrors (big monster book) and Tomb of Abysthor (really neat module).

I also reccomend the d20 magazines. I get alot of stuff from DRagon, Dungeon, the ENWorld Players Journal, and the other smaller online e-zines around.

The book is called Mastercraft Anthology, and it is done by FFG -- that's a great suggestion, too.

It covers 10 books in FFG's Legends & Lairs line, and provides a lengthy sample of each one. The samples are usable, too: they're complete items, like a race, or several trap writeups, etc. (rather than being teasers that don't include enough info to use in your game).

Skinny, what topic of sourcebooks do you want advice for.

I was thinking what fantasy adventures are good, and what sourcebooks are good for a traditional D&D fantasy campaign (one that includes a healthy dose of dungeon crawling).

Ya, a must have as well. I always forget the ones that have my name in them. ;)

I saw this when I was following Voadam's advice and went to RPGnow. As soon as I finish paying my debts I'm going to get this one. :) I can't wait to read it...

FFG does good sourcebooks, (I own and liked Traps and Treachery as well) and I think they are coming out with Dungeoncraft shortly.
