Awesome overuse of gratuity to emphasize that I was being a bit of a dillweed. I bow.

I firmly and seriously believe that when the musical histories are rewritten later to encompass the current time period, Elton John, Paul McCartney, and Freddie Mercury will be listed amongst the prominent composers of the time, to be held in company with the likes of Bach, Mozart, and ...

So had the post said, "orchestras playing the music of Beethoven," then would that have qualified? And, technically, can you consider what you asked to really be a "question"? Without the punctuation? :p (sorry, I'm tired and a little punchy :) )

How bad does it have to get before one needs to see a psychiatrist?

Do you mean the dreams are disturbing you as in, "I think I'm having unusual or scary dreams because I'm having a psychological problem or a rough time in my life," or as in, "I think I'm having unusual or scary dreams because something is trying to communicate with me and/or threaten me."...

So what TV show or movie best reflects your life?

Say Anything (movie) mixed with Titus (tv series), blending into Still Standing (tv series) as I get older, and lovingly sprinkled with elements of Time Bandits (movie) throughout.

T'Pau and The Corrs tie for my favorite. If you're really big into Rammstein, I don't know if either of those would be your cup of tea, though. Although you might enjoy "Let It All Fall" off of T'Pau's "Red" CD - it is a bit of a departure for them with a bit of a heavy metal feel.

What the heck is that instrument?!?!

You are correct, sir! It is a hurdy-gurdy, or as it was classically called, an organistrum. Loreena McKennitt is very big on the use of unusual and archaic instuments. The one you are talking about can also be seen in the video for "The Mummers' Dance" and one other of her videos, the name of...

What is your favorite TV show?

The shows I that I would be somewhat upset to miss an episode of are Heroes, Veronica Mars, Battlestar Galactica, and Good Eats. But I also watch How I Met Your Mother, The Class, CSI: Miami (aka The Horatio Caine self-glorification hour), NCIS, House, American Idol (just started this season...

    Metalheads! Confess & Brag

How about I Want A Woman, and Way Cool Jr.? I'm SOOOO Metal. I like all that stuff by Winger and Warrant. :p

    Happy GM's Day!

Pretty cool ... GM's day actually falls on a day I will be DMing this year! And much as megamania said, there will be no end to the suffering for the miserable wretches what have the misfortune to be at my table today! Mwah ha ha ha ha! :]

How Do You Scan These Threads?

I go to Off-Topic first, because that usually has the least I will be interested in, but occasionally does. Then I come back to General and skip forward pages until I get to the oldest one that has changes since I was last here. Then I move backward to get up to the present, reading and...

US Attorney John Sutton father of Baby!

You seem AWFULLY obsessed with this subject, judith - I've seen several of your threads on the subject. I'm actually FAMILY to the deceased, and I'M not as interested as you seem to be. Out of curiousity, if you don't mind me asking - what's up with that? I just did a search on news.google.com...

Wanna help get me outta Traffic Ticket?

I Am Not A Lawyer, and this is advice is represented as being worth what you paid for it - nothing. But: 1. I would highly recommend seeing if you can speak to your assigned judge ahead of time. Once in court in front of everybody, a lot of judges like to play hardball to make a good "we don't...

No due process of law this is theatrical law

I was using quantum mechanics as an example of a technology or previously unknown system, not to compare to the laws of man. It seems to me that you are thinking backwards - more laws are just more laws to break. And if I make it illegal for people to cuss, and I make the penalty a small fine...

No due process of law this is theatrical law

I wouldn't qualify it as a failure - the government is not supposed to protect us from ourselves. If it has failed in any respect, it is that it has done things that lead people to believe otherwise. Once a knowledge is out of the bottle - from something as grand as quantum mechanics to...

No due process of law this is theatrical law

Sometimes I think that. But then I realize that bowling and billiards and D&D are all pretty cool, and many women are pretty. And since humanity made all those things, I'll give 'em a pass. :D I don't really think it is fair to blame all of humanity. The media builds situations like this into...

    What's the next "Scape" book?

This is the one I was thinking of as well, actually. Although I saw it more seriously, as a book detailing solid stats, rules, and other info for several dream locations based on dreams people commonly have - the flying dream, the unexpected exam dream, the chase dream, and so forth. Useful for...

    Ghost Rider?

I just saw it earlier today. Feh. But then, I've never really been a Ghost Rider fan. It was well-acted, and the effects were good, but without being a fan, it really didn't move me. Eva Mendes' cleavage, which seemed to be on display at every point possible, was the best part of the movie for...

What would you guard a gate to the Abyss with?

Sorry to sidetrack, but I HAD to respond to this. Sure, let 'em play it. And let 'em be surprised when, due to the properties of Neutronium, they end up suffering an effective eternal Imprisonment spell in the very first round of play. :]

I have to admit, this DOES one-up me. I bow to you.
