T'Pau and The Corrs tie for my favorite.

If you're really big into Rammstein, I don't know if either of those would be your cup of tea, though. Although you might enjoy "Let It All Fall" off of T'Pau's "Red" CD - it is a bit of a departure for them with a bit of a heavy metal feel.

I don't have just one favourite band. With over 200 cds in my posession (and it grows at about 3 cds a month, I've calculated) I definitly couldn't choose.

I use WMP, which has a star-rating system, which can help make playlists and such. I'm kinda a little bit anal about rating my music, though :o Out of the 3400+ songs on my computer right now, a mere 89 come up as 5 Star songs. 398 come up as 4 Star songs. A whopping 697 come up as 3 stars, and so fourth.

However, since, truely, the 4 and 5 Star songs are my favourites (with 3 stars being decent songs I like, adn the rest stuff I either haven't listened to or need to listen to more, or don't like) Here's a list of bands which have over 10 songs up in the 4 and 5 star range:

A Perfect Circle, Coal Chamber, Cradle of Filth, Disturbed, Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, Linkin Park, Marilyn Manson, Otep, Rammstein, Slipknot, Static-X, System of a Down.

I used to be really into Nu Metal, which is reflected by this list. Since about 2 years ago, however, metalcore and black, death, thrash, groove, power and symphonic metal have all become fast favourites - thus why Cradle of Filth, Killswitch Engage and Lamb of God are there as well.

Anyways, just a little snapshot :)

Hrm, let's see. For my, a couple of my favs are Metallica, Battlelore, Lacuna Coil, Nightwish and Rammstein.

I just want it to be known that while these are my top favs, I like a MUCH variety of music than this, but I like no group in any other genre as much as these five.

Solid choices man. I have never been able to get into Metallica's music though (but I *love* Bif Naked's cover of Nothing Else Matters, and I dig a bit of Apocalyptica, so, yeah, call me a hypocrit already :p

Tell me now, since I'm likely to do this at some point: what's a good cd by Battlelore?

Also, to you and Mann Gegen Mann, what are your favourite Rammstein songs? Mine are: Mein Teil, Moskau, Stein Um Stein (anyone else notice how much this one is like the Slipknot song Purity?), Ohne Dich, Mann Gegen Mann, Rosenrot, Spring, Engel and Spiel Mit Mir.

I know it's kind of a lame answer, but any/all. The problem is that while there are very few songs I dislike, my like 6 favs are spread across three different cds. [That tends to be the main reason why I own so few discs, though normally, I like 2 songs from each CD and like nothing else].

If it means anything, Metallica had been my favorite group for like 10 years with Rammstein a close second. Battlelore became my all-time favorite within a day of my hearing one of their songs on the radio for the first time.

Well, if you're going to list all the big ones, what's left for me? :)

Gonna try to limit it to 5, though that's gonna be tough.

Spieluhr, Sensucht, Moskau, Mann Gegen Mann, Engel.

With an honorable mention to Du Hast for introducing me to Rammstein.

So some of the songs are the same, some are not.

Nice choices, again

But c'mon, give me an idea, an inkling, even, about Battlelore - otherwise it's not fair! :(

Easily Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds or his early band The Birthday Party. Describing the music is a bit difficult; the early stuff is way out there but it gets a bit more folksy as his career progresses. I wlll admit though, the last couple of CD's haven't exactly blown me away.

Led Zepplin comes close to favorite status. I also like Bjork and Rob Zombie.
