Shapechange and an 18th level Sorcerer

I believe you'd only get a max of 2 attacks per round. The revised version of Poly Other (which includes shapechange), states that "A body with extra limbs does not allow a character to make more attacks than normal." I believe shifters and druids are allowed to, but not through the use of Poly...

Shifter PrC (MotW) & Epic Feats

What's a shifter to do after reaching Shifter10? I'm currently playing a Druid5/Shifter10/Ranger1 and am not sure if I want to continue in Ranger or Druid. I took Ranger for the weapon proficiency, Track feat, and skills. If I go back to Druid I'll have a problem getting through opponants SR...

    Shifters and Templates

Are you also going to ban Shapechange? Once a Druid/Cleric(with animal domain)/Wiz/Sorc get Shapechange, they can pretty much do anything a shifter can do. And still have many other spells left. It gets even worse at epic levels, Persistant Shapechange. Or how about a Druid (with Natural Spell...

    Shifters and Templates

Tough call. I'd have the PC submit a list of creatures then not allow ones I fealt were "too powerful". It's totally subjective, but that's the limitation of the class. Shifters also have a HD limitation and from what I've seen, epic monsters have much more than 30HD.

    Shifters and Templates

The limiting factor is the DM. Shifters are limited to creatures they are familiar with. They have to have battled or studied the creature. The DM is in control of what creatures the Shifter has access to. If the DM puts a fully advanced paragon pyro-hydra against the party, then the Shifter...

    Defender question...

I have a few question reguarding defender weapons. 1) Can someone hold a defender weapon in thier off hand and still get the bonus? How about someone who doesn't have the two weapon fighting feats, but are only attacking with their primary weapon? 2) Do multiple defender weapons stack? It...

Shifter PrC (MotW) & Epic Feats

A shifter can shift into templated creatures, but has to be familiar with it. He has to have studied it or fought the creature. So this puts all the power in the DMs hands. Damage taken prior to turning into a Troll will not be regenerated since it's real damage and regeneration only recovers...

How do you make an NPC stay dead?

In a campain that I play in we've killed a certain NPC several times and they keep getting raised or resurected (once through "Divine Intervention"). Our cleric has tried the Destruction spell, but that didn't keep them down for long. Any ideas?

    Power Lunge...

I read somewhere that the x2 Str modifier replaces the characters normal Str modifier and is not in addition to. Could someone point me to an "official" ruling? I couldn't find anything in the WotC FAQ or errata.

Good Medium size creature for Polymorph?

True there is a difference, but Polymorph other doesn't know the difference. T&B states that all supernatural abilities are lost. This is the main reason the monk in my campain won't allow the sorcerer to polymorph him. It does seem that there's a problem with the Shifter Prc, since GWS becomes...

Good Medium size creature for Polymorph?

I think you'd have a very hard time convincing a monk to be polymorphed since he'd loose all of his supernatural abilities (Ki strike, fast movement, wholeness of body, and others).

    Wildshape and attacks

There is no mention in MotW of a Druid loosing their feats in wild shape, actually what would be the point in taking Multi-attack is you loose it when you shape shift? From MotW: The druid also retains her own type, extraordinary abilities, and spell-like abilities, but not her supernatural...

    Time stop + haste/Quicken Spell

I don't believe there's been any errta on it, but I've read many different places (Sean & Monte boards) that Time Stop grants a bonus similar to Haste so the two shouldn't stack. Quicken is allowable though.

    Keeping the party together.

Just curious if it's a problem in other games. We have about 8 players in the group I play with, with 3-4 that play a bit more than the rest. The ones that play more have higher level characters and always seem to do more of the fighting/spell casting. We've tried bumping the lower level...

    THW feats...

Are there any feats specificly for the Two-Handed weapon fighter? It seems that Two_Weapon fighters have a ton of feats/PrCs to lower their penalties and give them AC, but I can't seem to find any for someone using a Two-Handed weapon.

    Your favorite Bigby

I like the Clenched Fist because of the Stunning power. I don't have any 9th level spells yet, but I'm sure I can find one better than Crushing Hand.

    Choose Blur over Mirror Image

I chose MI for my sorcerer, the 20% miss chance would be nice for the party fighter, but the 50% miss chance associated with Improved Invisibility is much better. If you know you're going to be taking Imp Invis anyway (and what spell caster wouldn't ;) ), then a sorcerer would be better off...

    Mounted actions...

Sorry, being a bit thick headed today. I just want to be clear on what you can and can't do. Could a rider use a full attack action if his mount moves more than 5'? Does it matter whether he's making melee or ranged attacks? Does it matter if he has a flying mount and it's "gliding"?

    Mounted actions...

True, but it doesn't state what type of action is involved, Free, Move equivalent, or Standard. More and more I'm thinking it's a MEA to direct a mount. This will allow a rider to use the mounts movement instead of their own, but still allow them an attack. If a skill doesn't say how long it...

    Mounted actions...

Does a rider substitute his movement actions for that of his mounts, or are his actions totally separate? It sounds like it should be a standard action to direct a mount, but can't locate the rules for it. Thanks, Dwarmaj
