"If your mount moves more than 5 feet, you can only make a partial melee attack. Essentially, you have to wait until the mount gets to your enemy before attacking, so you can't make a full attack."Dwarmaj said:Does a rider substitute his movement actions for that of his mounts, or are his actions totally separate?
"With a successful Ride check (DC 5), you can guide your mount with your knees...."It sounds like it should be a standard action to direct a mount, but can't locate the rules for it.

no. If your mount moves more than 5 feet, you can only make a partial melee attack.Dwarmaj said:.Could a rider use a full attack action if his mount moves more than 5'?
ranged attacks are handled differently: "you can even exercise the full attack action [for ranged attacks] while your mount is moving" AND "you can even take move-equivalent actions normally" (like loading a crossbow)Does it matter whether he's making melee or ranged attacks?
i would say this falls under the 'moves more than 5 feet' ruleDoes it matter if he has a flying mount and it's "gliding"?
