    Best Campaign Setting????

Oh, yes, the FR and D&D ones I agree :) But even more sturdy than the KoK one?? This one?: http://www.kenzerco.com/rpg/kalamar/dmstour/dmstour01.php

    Best Campaign Setting????

Really?? Then you got ripped off, 'cause mine has a kitchen snik!...and a nice one too :D I will admit that it has a lot of stuff! Overwhelming at first. But now I hardly ever have to open up a book for a chart reference. It's soo nice. But, since it does have KoK specific stuff in it...

    Best Campaign Setting????

Really?! I'm curious to know what your definition of sturdy and useful is. Please explain how the two screens differ. I can handle you saying you like the SL screen better than the KoK one. But to imply that the KoK DM screen is not sturdy and not useful is pretty darn harsh!

    Best Campaign Setting????

Re: Metahumans in Kalamar? I wondered that myself. But I figured it was demi-humans...but now I'm not so sure. Maybe Psions?? Since I'm posting, I will add that I think Kalamar has a lot more to offer now with its many accessories: Campaign Sourcebook Atlas Players Guide Villian Design...

    Best Campaign Setting????

What about Al-Quadim do you like over other settings? What's Oathbound's appeal? Anything special about Scarred Lands besides what has already been said? Why were you unsatisfied? Why wasn't it playable? What kinds of dedail does FR have that other settings don't have that players can take...

    Dirty Fighting Feat...worth it?

Thanks! Still not sure if it's worth it. I do like the Modern d20 version though.

    Dirty Fighting Feat...worth it?

What FAQ? Is this the Feat you're talking about from d20 Modern? Streetfighting Prerequisites: Brawl, base attack bonus +2. Benefit: Once per round, if the character makes a successful melee attack with an unarmed strike or a light weapon, the character deals an extra 1d4 points of damage.

    Dirty Fighting Feat...worth it?

Thanks :-) Thanks all! That's unfortunate. It has such potential. I didn't find anything about this on Sean's site.

    Dirty Fighting Feat...worth it?

From how I understand the wording of the Dirty Fighting Feat in Sword and Fist, it must be used as a full-attack action. That means if a PC has multiple attacks, in order for him to make use of this Feat, he'd have to only one attack and not move. Is that correct? And if so, I don't see why...

    Best Campaign Setting????

Being a long time Greyhawk fan (since 1983), if you like Greyhawk, you'll LOVE Kalamar! :) A lot of Greyhawk fans have switched to Kalamar after the lack of official support for the setting. A major disappointment. To me, Kalamar is a more down to "earth" version of Greyhawk. Both are very...

Cloak - Minor Disp. vs. Blur

Thanks all! And I am the DM :)

Cloak - Minor Disp. vs. Blur

I was in the process of creating a magic item called a cloak of blurring or some such. While tallying up the cost, I checked on some other magic cloaks to compare and noticed the cloak of displacement, minor. A regular cloak of displacement gives 50% miss chance as per the spell. The minor...

    Spot and Listen checks

Another question, since I don't have my books with me at work...and I'm bored and thinking about D&D :) In regards to Listen and Spot checks to avoid being surprised, how are these checks different? A) Party walking down a road with an ambush set up ahead. B) Party walking down a road keeping...

    Command word a free action??

Ah, you know...I think I get it now. The saying the command word isn't a standard action. It's free. But it takes a standard action for the item to activate. Sound right? Thanks!

    Command word a free action??

I'm at work so I can't reference my rule books. First, isn't activating a magic item something like a standard action? Even if it's activated by a command word? Since a command word is considered "speech", and speaking is a free action, how come activating a magic item (like flaming for a...

    MM2 vs. MoF

I was eventually planning on picking up the Monsters of Faerûn to suppliment my MM, since it includes traditional AD&D monsters like the Bullywugs. But now I see there is a MM2. Does anyone have know if the MM2 included monsters from the MoF? Or, are they all unique?

    Creating a magic item

Hey there...do you have at least 5 ranks in Knowledge (D&D spells)? Cool! Maybe you can answer my questions My one main weakness as a DM is my lack of knowledge of D&D spells. I've never been much of a Wizard player, so I'm sure that accounts for it. On to my question. I've created two magic...
