Btw no offense to the Hackmaster or Kok guys, but I like the SL DM's Screen MUCH better. It's sturdy, and it's useful.

Really?! I'm curious to know what your definition of sturdy and useful is. Please explain how the two screens differ.

I can handle you saying you like the SL screen better than the KoK one. But to imply that the KoK DM screen is not sturdy and not useful is pretty darn harsh!

How can the KoK screen not be useful? It has everything but the kitchen sink.:D

Really?? Then you got ripped off, 'cause mine has a kitchen snik!...and a nice one too :D

I will admit that it has a lot of stuff! Overwhelming at first. But now I hardly ever have to open up a book for a chart reference. It's soo nice.

But, since it does have KoK specific stuff in it, I'm sure those who do not play KoK may find it a bit of a nuisance.

I say get 'em both.

Out of everything out there, Oathbound is my favorite. Why? It's a DM's dream, to be able to bring anything from anywhere and it's fine. It keeps the players on their toes. And what a background it has...

Dragonstar comes in a close second, since you can import characters into it as well, though unlike Oathbound, when they return to their homeworld (if they do), they won't be the same as when they left.

As for Kalamar, I don't really care for the setting, per se, but Kenzer, in my opinion, produces the highest quality adventures, so I use them for my own homebrew campaign.

Another great plug-in for a homebrew is Bluffside. Hopefully there'll be some more adventures printed for it as well.

Hi Thundershot---yes there will be we will have soem more pdf's as well as some great expansions for Bluffside, keep an "EYE" out for them in 2003!!!!

Darksun by far but it's more because I have personalized it. I put in things from other game systems and worlds to make it more "me".

I like the darker edge to it and the constant feeling that evil is winning so the heroes must try harder.

I didn't mean to imply the KoK DM screen wasn't sturdy. Merely that compared to the FR and D&D one, SL Screen was MUCH sturdy. (Heck it could handle gusts up to 5 miles an hour! ;) )
