    D&D 4E New 4E attack icon smilies

Supposedly "Feather yon Oaf" allows allies to make free basic ranged attacks; Some of the conditions in the Minis rules disallow nonbasic attacks, dazed among them iirc. Of the Experience pre-gens all the martial characters (and the paladin) can make basic ranged attacks with a bow or thrown...

DM Advice: handling 'he can't talk to me like that' ~cuts NPC throat~ players.

It is a lot of projecting, by an an objective standard. For this thread though, it's low-average.

DM Advice: handling 'he can't talk to me like that' ~cuts NPC throat~ players.

Let's say that you are fostering an infant for child protective services, when you are awoken in the night by a banging on your door. Answering it you find the child's father a police officer. Fingering his gun in it's holster the man demands his son, refusing all inquires about the boys safety...

DM Advice: handling 'he can't talk to me like that' ~cuts NPC throat~ players.

The PCs Had been warned that Vincent was a potential danger to the infants. When the PC's tried to get assurances of the child's safety from him, his response was a(n implicit) threat rather than any evidence of parental love. Trying to threaten a paladin into abandoning someone under their...

DM Advice: handling 'he can't talk to me like that' ~cuts NPC throat~ players.

Well, according to the majority of posters on this thread protecting an infant from abduction is an unforgivably malign act.

DM Advice: handling 'he can't talk to me like that' ~cuts NPC throat~ players.

As the PC's probably saw it Vincent was a dangerous psychopath who was trying to kidnap an innocent under their protection. Vincent did everything in his power to avoid dispelling this impression, short of stabbing the Paladin for wanting confirmation that he meant the child no harm.

    Forcing enemies to shift

Enemies got free attacks on you if you tried to maneuver or disengage or flee once engaged in 1st/2nd edition too. At least in 3rd you had the 5' step.

I have the Dungeons of Dread poster here's a set list

On the back is a map called the Caves of Chaos, wooded on one side interlinked caves on the other. Most of the set has already been spoiled one way or another already. On to the list: Good: 1/60 Dwarf Warlord R 2/60 Angel of Valor R 3/60 Cleric of Pelor U (Erias) 4/60 Halfling Paladin U...

New Dragon Article: Ecology of the Fire Archon

I wouldn't mind angels that looked like like wheels of flame or four winged Bulls with a hundred glowing eyes myself; be both cooler than the old archons certainly.

Would you use Fire Archons in 3.5?

As found here. They look pretty usable to me providing that you recast their origins. Who might have created the race in your campaign?

Need advice on playing a beguiler

Ten skill points gets you a rank in each knowledge skill, that should do much the same for you as first level bardic knowledge, and it's improvable. What does the rest of the party look like?

D&D 4E What does your dream 4e Monster Manual contain?

I'd like to see Rakasha that don't take 70's TV shows a their primary source material.

Which campaign setting(s) should be supported?

In that case Eberron. I don't like the realms, and I think the other settings would be better served by a One book or limited Line model.

    Nothing.

Weapon Groups that are more "realistic". . .

The Chinese martial tradition divides weapons into those wielded with sword techniques, those wielded with spear techniques, and those wielded with a combination of sword and spear techniques.

    Armor Spikes: Unpractical?

I don't know Dannyalcatraz, in the real world metal armors were often painted or laquered to protect against rust. Armorers could probably formulate a coating that would make most monsters decide you were inedible.
