Goggles of Foefinding (MIC) are pretty awesome for a ranged type character.

What books are available? and what level are you starting at? One suggestion would be a Human Psychic Warrior with the Heroic Destiny feat at 1st and Fearless Destiny at 6th :) Being able to avoid death 1/day is pretty darn awesome :D Cheers, E

umm there is no option for Party level +10... O.o Honestly though, my BBEGs have yet to be recognized, their sergeants are generally Party lvl +2. Cheers, E PS. This is in a 32 pt buy gestalt game that is pretty high powered.

Yeah its been stated before that a monk only gets Wis to AC when unarmored and a Swordsage only gets it when wearing Light armor. Unfortunately I don't see a way of making that work.

Actually that won't work, Ascetic Mage actually calls out the Monks bonus to AC, saying that if you have levels in sorcerer and monk, those levels stack for determining your AC bouns. And unfortunately the Swordsage AC bonus doesn't reference the Monk ability :( I wish they would work...

Think in the Manyshot description it mentions specifically "arrows" but doesn't say anything about "bolts"

I definitely like your idea phinder, I too like the idea of larger monsters actually being more formidable in melee :) Maybe I will try out a new game with this house rule :)

IMO, the CC replacement for spells is only good if you are only allowed spells from the PHB. If the ranger is allowed spells from Spell Compendium then keep the spells, there are alot of swift action orientated ones that are great for a ranged character.
