any good multiclass/PRCs for a high level sorc?

In regards to the High Arcana, I get 6 spells/level/day as a 20th effective level sorc, so it won't kill me to lose a couple of high level spells. Sooo Arcane Fire: Nice. supernatural ability bypasses SR, does decent damage, 6d6-14d6 depending on the spell slot I burn Arcane Reach: Doesn't...

any good multiclass/PRCs for a high level sorc?

Never mind about the shadowmage. I talked to my DM a few minutes when I met him to get the books. He mentioned (before I even asked) that the shadow mage wouldn't do well because the shadow plane is only co-terminal with a prime material plane so it would be severaly nerfed. The various guild...

Dead in a Blade Barrier, what happens to the stuff?

Another thing to keep in mind is that to allow a 6th level spell to prety much automatically destroy any magic item is rather unbalanced. Figure that even the mighty Mordenkainen's Disjunction, a *9TH level spell,* doesn't do that. It can make them permanently non-magical, but it's not destroyed.

Where to get a battle mat thingy?

What I did was to buy one of the poster-sized paper battle mats at my local store for $5. I then went and spent about $8 getting it laminated at Kinkos. I had to go to a couple to find one willing to do it. The cutters they have available to the public won't cut it though (too small) and...

any good multiclass/PRCs for a high level sorc?

Well, I would have three metamagic feats probably, and a 4th when I leveled up in Incantrix once more. The one as the prereq, then two more bonus feats.

    Good Spells

Most of the core and splat books. We've only got easy access to the core books though. Anything found online for free could probably be a possibility. Yes, Angel and I are in the same group.

any good multiclass/PRCs for a high level sorc?

Cool. I'll probably go the 6,9,5 method then. We're starting halfway to 21st level, so only 10,000 xp needed to max out incantatrix as well. I'll take empower as my first metamagic feat and probably extend and, um, I dunno. Possibly still or silent? I've never had much opportunity to use...

any good multiclass/PRCs for a high level sorc?

No, I'm trying to stick pretty much to WOTC stuff right now so I don't have to buy more books.

any good multiclass/PRCs for a high level sorc?

I'm going to borrow MoF and FRCS from our DM tomorrow and make reference copies of the relevant PrCs. Would it be possible to have a Sorc5/Archmage5/Incantrix10? That seems like it would be a pretty fearsome combo, the only limiting factor being a lack of spells known. The spellpool is cool...

any good multiclass/PRCs for a high level sorc?

I'm giving some heavy thought to the Archmage PrC. Possibly to Incantrix or some other as well. The -1 for metamagic is quite nice, as is the spontaneous metamagic.

any good multiclass/PRCs for a high level sorc?

The only problem with those last two PrCs is that we're planar travelling for an epic campaign and I'm not sure how well those spell pools will work. Also, I believe that the planar structure in the Manual of the Planes and the ELH is different from that offered in the realms, is it not? Our...

any good multiclass/PRCs for a high level sorc?

Yeah, too bad it would add 5 levels to the spell. I just thought about having both to have them, you know? And choose whichever one seems more appropriate for the situation.

any good multiclass/PRCs for a high level sorc?

Since an Aasimar gets a +2 to CHA, WIS, and something else and is only a +1 ECL, do you think it would be worth it to lose the one character level? Also, does the ECL affect my starting wealth since my effective character level is still 20?

any good multiclass/PRCs for a high level sorc?

Okay, after going through all the trouble of making her, I'm not especially feeling my elven wizard/bladesinger. I guess part of the problem is too many spells and it's such a pain to keep up with what's what. Sooo, I'm thinking about creating a sorc instead. Are there any good...

    Vorpal weapons?

So if vorpal blades go snicker-snack, perhaps we should add another d6 of sonic damage to them as well? It has a ultrasonic enchantment on it that causes the blade to vibrate ultrasonically and giving it the ability to cut through flesh with ease.

Funniest Thing you have heard at the gaming table

Actually, it was even better than that. I was playing, I believe, a Ranger, and our wizard was actually a warmage, a custom 2E class that's a combination of fighter and mage. This was a 2E game where a natural 20 was an automatic crit. So here we are, 4 PCs in a rowboat and along comes an...

    Alcohol and D&D

Well, that's TV. My experience is that most people who drink DON'T have problems as a general rule. Not saying there never is, but usually not. TV is usually NOT an accurate way to judge people or a culture.

    Vorpal weapons?

Oops, posted this in the wrong thread... We ran into the same problem of a vorpal being overpowerful. One of the players doesn't have the books, so another player rolled up two extra characters for our beginning 20th level campaign. One of them wasn't really intended for a PC character, though...
