Other official compendiums you'd like to see?

I think a good compendium of locations would be nice. Something large with several catetories, good artwork and excellent cartography.

Other official compendiums you'd like to see?

For better for for worse I'm sure WotC woudl make descriptions of PrCs generic enough to be setting neutral in such a book--with supplementary notes on using htem in Eberron, FR, etc.

    Decline of RPG sales

I think there's been cross marketing from the very beginning, though now it may be getting a bit more complex. Plus, they're called D&D Miniatures, the cards have D&D stats, and the boxes have the D&D logo. The DDM line started with teh coinciding release of the Miniatures Handbook. There's...

    Anyone listening to RPGRadio?

I haven't finished the first show yet, but basically it's similar. Just one host so far, and he recaps recent RPG news, interviews a RPG-related writer (the first one as Jamie Chambers, auther of the Serenity RPG). They style of the show is different. Mortality Radio had a feel like it was...

    Anyone listening to RPGRadio?

I missed this when it started over a month ago and have just downloaded the first two shows. Haven't got thru the first but really like the discussion so far about the recent Serenity RPG with its author. Anyone else listning to this? I am assuming this operation is attempting to fill the...

Mongoose in 2006 (and a bit on the Industry in General)

I have little knowledge of such things, but I am going to guess offhand that a Harry Potter license might be a tad expensive for Mongoose, right now. It must be one of the most valuable properties in the world at the moment. I would think it would have to be handled by a 'big' RPG publisher...

    Alternatives to Amazon.com?

I've been happy wiht Amazon myself, and I'm quite grateful they've gotten me stuff all the way to Russia. They definitely screw up from time to time, but in my experience if they do they make amends (refunds, reship product, etc). If there's an online bookseller that offers an overall better...

    DMG II + PHB II + MM II-IV = 4th Edition?

From a sales and business point of view, WotC would probably want a new edition to be represented by new core books that were required for game play. The Core books, the PHB specifically, are overwhelmingly the main sellers for WotC, and most of the ohter books are intended to drive sales of...

    Buying single DDM online--whaddaya think?

Other good shops have been mentioned, but I have had very good experiences with www.frpgames.com 's singles sales (they use a partner shop for their singles actually, but you can buy everthing on the FRPGames site). The choice isn't quite as good as at other shops, but I got everything I...

    D&D Rules Cyclopedia-any experiences

The Gazatteers provided furhter options for demihuman characters such as a dwarven cleric, a wierd class for halflings called guardian of the flame, etc. In reality, it was easy to modify these rules anyway. In my campaigns halflings thieves were allowed, as were most options that were allowed...

    DDM game discussion?

Which forum would be for discussion of the D&D miniatures game (not buying or selling the miniatures)? I guess it would be the d20 game forum, but wasn't sure.

    History's most underrated inventions.

Wasn't the chariot an incredibly ineffective military unit? They had horrible manueverability. A single foot soldier could easily dodge a charging chariot. I'm no expert but I imagine basic cavalry, even before stirrups, must have been far more effective--more maneuverability, speed, and...

    No Harry Potter RPG?

JK Rowling is definitely the richest self-made woman in the UK, if not the world. She is also the richest author, male or female, so I've read. I can't say whether she's got the Queen beat but it's certainly possible. JKR is mega rich.

    Next converted classic adventure...

My answer to what 'adventure classic' would be udated next would be Keep on the Borderlands. It's stand-alone, an iconic classic that nearly all veteran gamers know about (S3 may actually not fit into that category), and it's setting neutral as well.

    Decline of RPG sales

I'd like to take this moment to thank Phil Reed for all the free stuff he's made availabel for me, which honestly I can't separate from the stuff I've bought from him over the years. Thank you Phil!

    [URBIS] PDF draft or not?

One issue you haven't brought up yet is the use of the d20STL. Though your comment about not including legalese seems to indicate youdon't plan to use it. Are you planning on releasing a system-neutral document (not sure if that's feasible)?

    D&D Minis: What's missing most?

Yes there have been several ogres in previous packs but those are difficult tofind now, and I've missed out on all prvevious ogres. Plus, I'd like to get a bunch of them. I hope to get the half ogre barbarian (is that large, or medium btw?)
