    Lose a Limb

The only DnD product I recall having hit locations was "Blackmoor". If you want to mke up your own system check out Rolemsters crit. charts, of course you have to modify it to work with 4th edition. And like another poster said, just remember the creatures can use the mutilation system...

B2 Return to the Keep 4e

Here's what I would do for a little added spice. Make an end goal for each tier. You could have lots of quests throughout but make the tier transitions have some major events. Hell if you have the Ravenloft module throw that in somehow, maybe end of the paragon tier. If your group is into the...

    Holy cow! Palladium releasing PDFs!

Yep I see 20 new Palladium products up and ready to go. I'm guessing it's an ongoing thing....meaning more Rifts to come soon I hope. This is surreal, I was hoping to round out my collection of 3.5 stuff but this will do for now. I just can't believe it:uhoh:

Bo9S Power Structure vs. 4e Power Structure

I feel the same as you do for the most part. The Book of Nine Swords is really cool IMO. I also despised DMing 3.x with a passion. Only got to play it once as a PC and enjoyed it. 4th edition is pretty nice to DM, but I liked what they were doing in Bo9s a bit better at the time.

    10:1 illegal downloads

Thanks, I was thinking it was something along those lines, but IMO that's not the most accurate. I agree with you, the estimate would be low for sure.

Forked Thread: How much does WotC policies matter to your enjoyment of the game

    - Taking the actions of a multi-million dollar company personally at any level is really just dumb. Is it? I feel this is why we have the business climate that we have now a days.

Forked Thread: How much does WotC policies matter to your enjoyment of the game

Exactly, I stopped supporting lots of businesses cause I disagree with their policy or how their policy affects us the people. I mean without getting political look at our world compared to 30 years ago.....IMO the greed and distrust is way out of control. To me it's no longer about pleasing the...

How Has the WotC PDF Situation Affected You REALLY?

well said, now they make nothing...if they don't want my money maybe someone else will. It's like we are all being taught a lesson, oh well another brilliant move. Lot's of people call it nerd rage but WotC really isn't too good at delivering what they promise, i.e. e-tools, dnd insider, and...

How Has the WotC PDF Situation Affected You REALLY?

It has affected me from legally obtaining all my OOP TSR stuff, and it has just made my DMing 4th edition less efficient. I bought hardcopies and bought PDFs. I hate reading pdfs BUT they make writing your own material much easier. Copy and paste and then small edits, takes me five minutes to do...

    10:1 illegal downloads

I'm sure I'm wrong BUT how do they tell the pirated vs. legal? Am I missing something of has WotC been allowed to operate under the Patriot Act? I mean someone please explain how they can accurately come up with a number. I'm sure I'm missing something, I know "the man" can get this info but WotC.

Which hardcover book is least chockful of goodness?

FRCG...waste of money and paper IMO.

Round Four: Back to the old school modules!

Isle of the Ape is the only one I am completely familiar with to be honest. It's very high level though, I guess it could be placed in a campaign fairly easily. It is an island afterall. Think DnD meets King Kong, written by EGG. I have played some of the others you mentioned but am not as drawn...

What programs do you use to lay-out and print the counters?

Round Two: Another 10 old school modules I'm considering!

I like G1-2-3, and Egg of the Phoenix is decent plus it's packed with material, lots of mileage in that one. I'm going to run A1-4 again soon too, it's a good one IMO as is Desert of Desolation. Those would be my votes.

    Dungeon Adventure Levels

“MENACE OF THE ICY SPIRE” is a Dungeons & Dragons® adventure for five characters of 2nd level. No biggie just thought you might like to update your hard work, which is much appreciated by yours truly.

    Dungeon Adventure Levels

I was just thinking this the other day. Not enough low level adventures. I do enjoy access to Dungeon but it lacks in usable adventures for my party. Sure you can get the GG stuff for now, but I think maybe WotC should concentrate on lower level stuff at times. A 12th level adventure is cool to...

    Insider: Character Visualizer canceled?

I could care less about the CV myself. But the Game Table was something I was into when I upgraded. I DM a regular group but was hoping to play online at my leisure, I know nothing is definite but broken promises would be rather disappointing to me now. I know I can get FG VTT but I would love...

[4E+] Forked Thread: Why doesn't WotC license older editions?

I most definitely would be interested in something along these lines. Sure you can port most of the stuff yourself, but I'm 35 and work for a living...time is limited. I find this to be a very interesting "concept". If WotC wouldn't be interested in doing such a thing maybe some of us could...

Looking for the Old School: Tell my group what to play

I can second C&C, I really enjoy it myself. The learning curve is very small too especially if you have played 1st and 3rd. And it's not too hard on the wallet. Here are the FREE quick start rules to whet your appetite http://www.trolllord.com/cnc/ccqs.html
