[Nov] What's up in your campaign?

Eberron! Did Forgotten Forge 2 weeks ago, with a Warforged Fighter, a Human Artificer, and an Elf Wizard. They had a great time, and the encounters were well balanced, even for 3. Got to use the Warforged from the D&D pre-painted miniatures. This coming Friday, Shadows of the Last War, with the...

    World's Largest Dungeon reviewed

Disappointed I was very disappointed with the first level. All that space, a lot of empty rooms, and only about 6 or 7 different types of monsters. Yawn. And if I never read the words "Fiendish Darkmantle" again, it will be too soon. Such wasted potential.

HELP! Eberron - Healing in the Mournland?

I don't have the exact quote with me, but in the Eberron campaign setting book, in the section on the Mournland (in the part about the Government, for some reason) it says that natural healing doesn't work, and that magical healing doesn't work! In Shadows of the Last War, the party must...

What's the biggest challenge / frustration in your game?

I think you just talked yourself into it. Tell them to go play Diablo and find some real RPGers. :D

Kevin Bacon Game - How Close Are You?

Missing Pieces Someone will have to help me with the Kevin Bacon part, but I can make a loop: I met a woman who's son dated Toni Basil, who was a coreographer on one of David Bowie's tours. I knew a guy who went to college with David Bowie's son. :uhoh:

Ok, anyone think this late70s/early80s fashion thing is getting out of hand?

He put out that godawful album and has been dumpster diving ever since. Remember: In the 70's, we had Sex, Drugs, and Rock 'N Roll. In the 80's, we had AIDS, Crack, and Michael Bolton.

    Your one favorite monster book

Tome of Horrors I and II. I went through Tome of Horrors I with a pad of post-its to mark things I want to use. I would have been better off putting post-its on things I *didn't* want to use. :D

The Stigma of D&D OR Help! I'm Stuck in the D&D Closet?

Next time someone makes fun of D&D, just ask, "Do you like sports?" (99% are going to say yes) Then say, "What do you think of those people who go to games with their whole body painted in the team colors?" RPGs are made fun of mostly because they are unknown. It makes them easy targets. It's...

    Population density in your setting?

You know, I thought at first that it was amusing that so many people were essentially wasting their time with this whole discussion (no one is going to be moved from their position), and then I realized that I was spending time reading the population threads. That's time in my life I'll never...

[Unearthed Arcana] How many Optional Rules have you Incorporated?

I find the Level Independent XP awards to be great. I have a software program I wrote to handle combat, and it calculates the XP based on the CR of the opponent when I add it to the "kills" list. My current campaign is kind of an over the top, good versus big icky evil, so rapid advancement is...

    Khorvaire:Two Problems

You conveinently left out the portion of your post I was quoting as "insulting": "This setting will be wonderful for a 10-15 year old to begin playing DnD, and it simulates a lot of the gaming styles I liked when I was younger, but it really does not serve my interests now." I am 42, and have...
