Is it possible to have a Chaotic society?

Again, most of the interpetations here are subjective, not objective. First off, real world cultures are poor examples. Not only do they not operate in a system using the D&D alignments, but they are far too detailed in comparison to most in game cultures. Elder-Basilisk pointed out that most...

    Thoughts on Cartoon Network?

Doing better with Flash? In what way? In "Only A Dream" he gets nearly annhilated by Luminous, and as usual, two of the other Heroes have to save him. He could crack the skull of every Luminous duplicate in a second, if they were treating him like the real Flash. Superspeed is the only...

    Thoughts on Cartoon Network?

They are still doing new He-Man episodes. Every Friday on Toonami, in fact. I only watch the Saturday night showings, though, as it and Justice League are nice ways to burn time before Rurouni Kenshin. I have to say Justice League is a good show, but does anyone else get tired of the...

    Thoughts on Cartoon Network?

I have been watching Cartoon Network regularly for around three years now. My current favorite shows are Samurai Jack, Rurouni Kenshin, and Teen Titans. Justice League is alright, but I cannot stand the way they have ruined the Flash. He-Man and X-Men Evolution are both great fun, though.

Teen Titans: Your thoughts and mine...

Well, once again Teen Titans exceeded my expectations. That was a wonderful episode in all respects, and a nice ending to the first run of premiere episodes. I am impressed by the fact each episode since the first improves and betters that which was done previously. I am looking forward to...

Midnight: My players wonder--What's the point?

I just take it as a challenge. The Midnight characters I have run so far, if they manage to survive into the higher levels, will change the world for the better. Unless a DM outright kills my characters from sudden heart attacks, they cannot stop me. BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Is it possible to have a Chaotic society?

Elder-Basilisk has interesting points, but they are based on what is inherently a false assumption. The D&D alignment system is not subjective, it is objective. No matter what societal values present, a Chaotic person is always Chaotic, and a Lawful person is always Lawful. This does not...

Is it possible to have a Chaotic society?

I was looking at possible interpetations of a Chaotic society, and it seems to me there are few if any examples of such societies in the material I have. Even the supposedly Chaotic Elves are decidedly Lawful in all matters pertaining to justice, territory, armed forces and government. I...

Killer work. I must say I greatly enjoy the Good creatures that you create.

    Angel 10-08-03

I personally find Fred to be far more attractive than any of the other females that have appeared on the show. It is really a matter of preference. As for the episode, I really liked it. The more this show moves to its fantasy action side, rather than cheap soap opera, the better. I have not...

    Paladins in Sunless Citadel (UPDATE)

The situation currently present is a minor one. It is a problem that will present itself on occasion while walking the tightrope of the Code, though. You have to decide how much the Paladin should be accountable for the deeds of his companions. It is already accepted that any Paladin should...

[FR]The Return of the Heroes of the Vilhon Reach (updated 8/20!)

Personally, I never cared for Ilmater. In fact, I once theorized he is really a LE deity that is fooling Torm and Tyr into believing otherwise so he can gain more worshippers. Go back to worshipping a real deity of the Triad, I say. In the end, the question you have to ask yourself is, do you...

    Paladins in Sunless Citadel (UPDATE)

True. Which is why, if the Paladin had committed the act, it might be an issue. But it was the Druid who broke the truce, not him. As I said, at most I think the Paladin would chastise the Druid for his actions.

Pogre's New Story Hour with Mini pics - (12/7 The Final Update)

Truly inspirational, I tell you. Where can one find a greater leader than this man, the Great Gerhardt? [/b] Another fine example of demanding quality work for himself and his fellows. I really think you should have called this update "The Return Of The King". :D

[FR]The Return of the Heroes of the Vilhon Reach (updated 8/20!)

It's alright, Benito. Many adventurers have gone through the same situation you are now, and with counseling, they managed to get through it. Lets look at a few tapes of previous sessions so you can understand how we here at MBA, or Making Better Adventurers, have dealt with other parties with...

    Paladins in Sunless Citadel (UPDATE)

At most the Paladin should take the Druid aside and lightly chastise him, reminding him that even Evil Kobolds must be accounted for in an honorable manner. It is a minor issue at worst, however. From the descrption of the situation, it seems that it was quite clear the Kobolds had no...

Your favorite "villain" race and why?

Tanar'ri (sp?) have always been my favorite villianous race. No other race can match such unmitigated Evil and brilliance, along with a true sense of style. The Baatezu really need to take a few pointers on how to terrify the puny mortals that dare stand in the path of the Infernal powers.

    Paladins in Sunless Citadel (UPDATE)

Technically, you could argue the Druid would be just as interested in killing the Dragon as the Paladin. I seem to recall that Druids generally despise creatures like Dragons, considering them a taint upon nature. Sounds like a good game, and a nice resolution. Depending on how responsible...
