I think the problem with 3.x wizards is that they are underpowered at low levels; but at higher levels, can cast a save-or-die and take you out in a round unless you make your saving throw.

Use a utility knife, score the grid out, and then if it's too light, a fine-tipped marker along the lines should do the trick.

There is about 8 pages altogether scattered through the first 250. Everything except for the feats is a sidebar, which I counted as a quarter page a piece, although it generally is less than that. The feats take 4 pages iirc.
