    Big charge damage ideas?

Didn't think it would, though pounce is lovely in charger builds. Items that grant lion's charge, or the psionic version of it can help. If you don't get pounce all the other multipliers I mentioned still are juicy uppers to damage.

    Big charge damage ideas?

Lots of good feats flying around that people of suggested already, you could get a flying mount and go for diving with a piercing weapon (x3). Not to mention riding boots (MIC) boosting your spirited charge damage. Also just for that added to-hit go for the battle standard in Heroes of battle...

Interpretation of rules: Sorcerors, daggers and feats

I am currently making a character for a far-east setting, and with no 'ki' classes yet I've decided to try some mixing of feats and play styles to try to get close to some of the old 3.x idea of those 'ki' classes. My plan is as a Sorceror I will use the 'Sorcerous blade cunning' feat from PH2...

    Story in RPGs

I can't talk about all game systems but with regards to D&D and WOD most of the story is really PC driven. If you let yourself get bogged down by the set story you want to tell then PCs can't do the crazy ideas they want to act out. (I've had this experience as a player and it sucks, too much...

Primal Power: How to hit enemies with a natural one, etc.

Why the druid hate? Druids were quite good in PHBII, I got complained at for doing too much damage while still doing my controlling things. That aside, a lot of the new options for druids are really quite good and I'm loving the new ED for them (well specifically the wildshape one). On a side...

    Non-AC Defenses

I think the NADs at the moment are quite decent, maybe not perfect put still works to a good extend if we take into account all abilities. I think too many players try to only do damage and forget about statuses/defenses. I'll give an example, currently I have 2 groups running the same...

Rogue - Sneak Attack too strong?

I've had experience with ruthless ruffian, and I think its a lovely build for in your face damage. It was a half-orc rogue with a mace wielding it 2 handed, Dex primary, Str secondary. Taking feats like power attack because the -2 to-hit really doesn't matter when a rogue already has lots of...

    Quick question: Martial power errata

Thanks, I did think getting 2 attacks a turn for free was a bit off. Sorry when I said 'crossbow' I meant 'hand-crossbow' I keep forgetting to distiguish between the two. Daggermaster drow rogue with hand-crossbow feats + avenger mutliclass, yup I could see that working.

    Quick question: Martial power errata

A player of mine is currently using 'two-fisted shooter' feat I think its called from martial power. Rules in the book says that after a critical hit with your main-hand weapon you can then shoot off a bolt with the crossbow as a free action. The player says there is an errata saying that...

Are Any Of Your Players Really Unlucky?

We have some poor rollers in our group, although one player sticks out in my mind. About 3 sessions into the campaign we actually started putting a natural one counter on the whiteboard for him. By the end of each session it was something like 8-10 rolls of a 1 (and usually no crits in the...

Has Anyone Introduced New Gamers to 4E?

I introduced about 8 new players in 2 different gaming groups this last week to 4e. It took some time but they are getting there. Everyone is different so they will all learn differently, though the first thing they will need is a class that they will enjoy the type of playstyle/idea of the...

    Clarification: Surprise Rounds

I'm not quite sure if its been said already but, page 267 states that: "When any combatants achieve surprise, they act in initiative order during the surprise round. Surprised combatants don't act at all during the surprise round." RAW would be hard with this as it doesn't state that surprised...

    Clarification: Surprise Rounds

I know I'm a new poster and all but I've had quite a bit of experience with RAW v RAI between some people at our 30+ people D&D games. (I still think charging while prone should be disallowed...) I think you guys are kind of looking at this at the wrong angle, instead of looking at the rules...
