    Wizard Alternate Class Features

I figure he means the only downtime they'll have is at night when they rest. Nothing longer, not even a weekend.

    Wizard Alternate Class Features

A recent Dragon had one that allowed a wizard to scrap using a spellbook; you'd merely imprint the spells into your subconscious & memorize them from there. I think you had to dump your familiar as well for the ability. though.

Property for bows that allows variable Str Bonuses

The ELH had a specific weapon that had the ability. Try dissecting it to see how much they charge for it.

How much for giving warlocks iterative eldritch blasts?

Wizards.com has an official, epic warlock feat for using eldritch blast twice in a round, here. It does more than just add an extra attack, though, but sets a good benchmark. For a magic item to grant extra EB attacks, yeah, make it damn expensive, along the lines of what you've got so far...

    Dragon Questions

Not easy to answer in a Rules thread (this forum is more for strict mechanics, not theory). ;) Take a look at: Polymorph, Part 1 & Polymorph, Part 2 for something alternate.

    crystal spheres ?

It didn't really integrate with Planescape directly. Crystal spheres & the Phlogiston were aspects of & contained within the whole Prime Material Plane. Kind of similar to layers in outer planes.

    Dragon Questions

    1. If the ability mimics polymorph (which the SRD says it functions as), your physical stats become those of an average member of that race. So for human, 10 or 11. 2. +2 Con. Just subtract 10 or 11 from each ability (if it's even, the former; if it's odd, the latter). 3. Not that I'm aware...

    Magic Of Incarnum?

Kurashu, True, but incarnate classes have too few feat slots. I dislike having to spend them to regain functionality.

    Magic Of Incarnum?

That's a very viable option for soulborn, true, but not incarnates. Too bad not a lot of people but stock in the former. D.Shaffer has already corrected me that totem binds don't take up magic item slots, so I have no problem with them (& totemist is my preferred base class from the book...

    Need more spells per round!

Meister Talon, Aren't swift actions normally limited to once/round? Otherwise, the Action Surge feat from the Eberron Campaign Setting, if you happen to use action points. Spend two to get another standard action in a round.

Campaign in the (Past or Future) Illithid Empire?

kenmarable & Ctenosaur & Krilia, I'll take a look at those. Thanks. Whizbang Dustyboots & IanB & EricNoah, Yeah, for the most part. Maybe not a central part of the rebellion, & possibly not even all human, depending on the player's race choices. Mayhap the campaign would happen on a...

    Magic Of Incarnum?

As I said before, I was hard-pressed to find bound soulmelds I'd rather have in lieu of traditional magic items for the same slots. I don't see many characters with multiple items for a single slot like that. Usually they stick with one option, & the benefits from other same-slot items are...

    Magic Of Incarnum?

I guess I didn't equate armor & weapon proficiencies as traditional class abilities, like spells or sneak attack. But as Nifft said, the slot for armor can still be filled by them (& instead of a shield, monk hands can hold other magic items, like rods). And their unarmed damage is just another...

Campaign in the (Past or Future) Illithid Empire?

Anyone ever run/played in a campaign set in the great illithid empire of legend (either the distant past or far future)? I'm toying with the idea (& of combining it with an all VoP party), & would like to hear what others have done.

    Magic Of Incarnum?

Tradeoffs, yes. Specialist wizards trade, relatively speaking, one class ability (access to some spells) for another (more spell slots for some spells). That limitation doesn't spill over like I stated previously for incarnum characters. Incarnum characters aren't getting a tradeoff in the same...

    Magic Of Incarnum?

Ah, I never noticed that before. Thanks for pointing that out. I realize that soulmelds can take the place of magic items (& in some instances are better). The point I've been trying to make is that all (most?) other classes can have full class abilities and make full use of magic items at the...

    Magic Of Incarnum?

From what I remember when looking over the soulmelds, I was hard-pressed to find soulmelds to be bound instead of standard magic items to wear. I wasn't making a character, mind you, but just looking at what a bound soulmeld had to offer vs an item in the same slot. In the latter case, it's not...

    Transmuting weapon [MIC]

Yeah, I'm pretty sure. :goes & gets the book: Okay, yeah, 100% sure. One advantage morphing & metalline have over transmuting is that they would be effective against regeneration (not sure how many creatures have regen vs. bludgeoning, etc., though).
