Cancel the game, but make sure the drunken player doesn't drive anywhere. If the player has not apologized to everyone else that was there than night (or, at the very least, the host and the DM) within two or three days, give a call to explain why he/she is not being invited back.

I'm not sure I understand all the love for Lidda, either. Of the 3.X iconics, I'm most fond of Gimble, Vadania, and Hennet, in that order, but I would still prefer to see all new iconics, especially if they were as well designed as these three. Also, sign my name to that ethnic diversity proposal!

Why am I excited to leave 3e for 4e? Because, when 3e was released, I was twelve years old. 4e will be remembered as my generation's D&D.

If this effort to expand the sweet spot using the magic of mathematics works, it alone will warrant the purchase of a new set of books. 4e could have a talent available for sorcerers which functions similar to Eldritch Blast but is called Magic Missile.

Exactly how I run my games, and I will likely keep playing this way regardless of what 4e does with the death mechanics. I would like to see the DMG offer various alternatives to whatever the core approach is.
